I think it's a sign that pipe smoking is diminishing as no one has marketed a vaping pipe. It could be made to look like a Kirsten ! Think of all the flavors you could smoke !

I vape (nicotine, not THC). Day in, day out. I make my own liquid (I'm not Chinese, haha). I'm not a vaping evangelist. It just replaces cigarettes for me, and that's a good thing.
The e-pipes are pretty low power devices. I haven't tried one, but they're just Vapes in pipe form. To my knowledge, the tanks on them are pretty inefficient.

They just taste kind of like raw tobacco, and they're always sweet because of the PG and glycerin in them. There's no such thing as a vape that tastes like smoking, because there's no combustion. |

I have an aegis legend with a cleito 120 tank/coil. Its a high powered vape unlike the pipe looking one. It definitly took the place of cigarettes for me when I first quit. I still have my vape but I dont use it as much unless im at work and cant enjoy a pipe or snuff aint doing it for me.

I have a vape pipe. I haven't used it in ages, but I bought it to have the pipe experience in the house. The juices taste nothing like we taste... Even the tobacco ones taste like the smell of the tinned stuff and not the smoked tobacco.
It's just not the same as smoking a real pipe. They upside is that they don't leave a rancid taste in your mouth that takes hours to get rid of.

Different, certainly, but I guess we've all had tobaccos that smelled better than they smoked, and not just aros. I don't see myself trying this, but that's really an interesting observation. |

I vaped for years. Now I can't even remember the last time I've used them. I have thousands of dollars worth of tanks, mods, rebuildables, wire, batteries, etc. Its all in a box in the closet. I used em for my nic fix when getting off cigs, but snuff filled that void. Cigs still sneak in once in a while, but I said when the twins got here I wasnt buying anymore.
I just love tobacco. Period. Real tobacco, not reconstituted trash.
There are a few vape pipes though. I just dont understand the concept behind em. I don't find myself having to have a pipe like I NEEDED my cigarettes.

What is the pipe version made of? Does it look like a traditional pipe? Probably defeats the purpose, esp since I use the 0mg nicotine juices. |

That struck me too. I've heard doctors say similar things, that one pipe equals X number of cigarettes, so a 5 pipe a day guy is like a pack and a half a day smoker etc. They must be looking purely at quantity of tobacco, without considering that it's consumed differently - puffing vs inhaling. I'm honest with myself that pipe smoking is still a health risk, and so I keep it to a level that I personally judge to be an acceptable risk etc... but there's no question that a non-inhaling pipe smoker absorbs a lot less nicotine (and presumably other compounds) than an inhaling cigarette smoker. I'll occasionally feel a bit of a nicotine buzz from a big pipe and the right blend, but 3 drags off a cigarette (even considering I choke most of the smoke out immediately as I really can't inhale anything lol) will put me on the floor. |

Just stopped vaping 3 months ago, back the baccy.
For me it's functionality -- a good vape mod is shaped very comfortably for grip, easy while driving and sturdy if dropped. The ones with a big of angles quad design or grenade feel make them especially good for a fist while moving around.
Pipe shaped vapes seem like they'd be too fragile for my clumsy self.

I know few people who vape. Probably cause of my age. My nephew and his wife vape, but they went to it to get off of cigarettes. This is my beef with anti-tobacco advocates slamming vaping and trying to tax it even further in california, saying it is just like cigarettes. vaping has helped many people I know beat the sticks. You can modify the nicotine level of the juice from 28 mg all the way down to zero. I even know someone who's doctor encouraged him to use vaping to quite cigarettes, until got to zero, then quit the habit all together. The patches weren't working for him, because there was no ritual, no habit. The zero became boring without the buzz, and then he managed to shelve it. Selling certain vape products is now illegal in some cities, just putting local shops out of business and bolstering online sales. regarding the pipe shape see my post above. |

My wife bought me one years ago. Was expensive, close to $100.00.
Tried to like it, was terrible, wasted more $$ trying to find some magic liquid that tasted like pipe tobacco.
After a while she forgot about it & I chucked it.
PIA that tasted like crap.
Just my opinion.

I will say this for vaping...it may be bad for you to stay on it as a replacement for cigs...but if your aim is to get off the cigs, the vape does the job. The key is to stop smoking if that is your end desired result as neuroticus stated.

You can buy inhalable nicotine from the drug store, and it won't trash your lungs the way a vape does. This has been available for many years.
