I always look forward to September..To me it represents the beginning of cooler weather..It can get pretty hot here in Carolina during summer...Not my cup of tea.

That's what I used to think too. But down in south Georgia I think season are forgot about. We just have a lot of hot, very little "moderate," and just a few weeks of cold.
I do like the fall though. It's my favorite season. This time of year, I miss it up north

September is perfect in Colorado. cool enough to be comfortable and usually no snow flying. We have seen it early in the month though.

September is summer's swan song. I'm not looking forward to winter but there's no stopping it. I'll enjoy the fall as much as I can before complaining about the cold and snow.

September is the Sunday of the year. I like September. I was born in September. But I don't like that, for me, it represents the passage of time.

My birthday is this month too. It stays hot in Houston until the middle of October usually.

Fall has always been my favorite season, and I've found since moving to the NW that September is rapidly becoming my favorite month. Still warm sunny days without much rain, nice cool crisp nights with maybe some marine layer stratus in the mornings that usually burns off by noon, just the start of the leaves coloring up (down here at sea level anyway; the vine maple and alder and larches are already getting going in the mountains), the salmon are in... just all good things!

Geezers grow reflective come Autumn. It is a foreshadowing of Winter in more ways than one.

September is the start of my favorite time of year. Cooler weather, foods that taste and smell amazing and just over-all good feelings for me personally. It's the payoff for having to deal with the crap that is summer.

90 degrees today.
So much for "Fall".
I guess it will cool down... eventually.

Currently 106 here, the 7 day forecast is triple digits through next Sunday...Mister Heat Miser just keeps the beat going. Not very far south of here it was very temperate though, comfortable in the 80's.

Agreed. I enjoy pumpkin pie and the flavor does well in many things but then as the holiday season goes there's the smells and flavors of apple, cinnamon, raisins, slow roasted turkey, stuffings, roasts baked goods and so much more.

Mar., when you see a lot of blue on the map. When you guys pony up the bucks to put me where I need to be, Spring will be in Key west or the Hamptons, or Maine I will split my summers in Montana and Idaho, Fall could be split between the Northeast foliage and Aspen Colorado, and winters in Phoenix where everyone else is blue on the map, we are in the yellow. I have the Sonoran season clamped down, but you guys really need to get to work on my seasonal accommodations.

September used to be nice in S Louisiana, cool crisp nights at the high school football games, but as the years went by it changed, you knew fall was approaching but it was dry, and hot, October came and small cold fronts started, shrimp started moving out of the marsh as tides started to fullucuate, geese you could hear very high up, Dove season, teal season past in September, November, cooler weather, you started counting on thanksgiving, TVs blared about all the sales, 💩 you didn’t need. Then December, couple cold snaps, Santa Claus was coming, not so much fun without children, worked Christmas Eve for a young man every year, they drew straws to see who I would work for, the joy of being alive, it’s something isn’t it.

September is the hottest month of the year in Central Florida. The NOAA forecast for the next three days just says "HOT" lol I'm not kidding. Mid-nineties and no wind (except the occasional 100 MPH gust from a hurricane).
BUT: - College football season has started - Snook season is open again - Deer season starts in two weeks - And usually it will cool off in October so the end of the long hot summer is at least in sight
So I have to give September a positive rating as my final assessment.

Being just a tad to the north of you ,I know what you mean. As a kid ,we never had A.C., and we played outside all day. These days{which seem so much hotter} the summer heat just sucks the life right out of me. September means I can get out on the porch with a pipe and enjoy the watching the birds.

September in the gulf coast means only four more months of summer and it gives us time to prepare for our two weeks of winter.

My birthday is this month as well (right at the end). But over here September sees things getting a lot colder. Temperature will be single doctors from this month on...
Good thing is that Christmas is on the way. I love Christmas.

Good thing is that Christmas is on the way. I love Christmas. I guess it's good to have an excess of unmarried medical professionals during the colder months.

Let me tell you, October cannot get here quick enough. Every day in the mid-nineties since the hurricane passed. It feels like the air is on fire.
Here is some perspective for the patch: It's too hot to smoke a pipe! This is killin' me. I'm going to have to go to the cigar lounge or something, just to smoke in the a/c.
