Let's hear your thoughts... I don't know whether to buy 4oz. of Comoy's Cask #4. I need to start eating better. I'm quick to anger, and I need to work on that. Pipes are cool. Snuff is good. There's only so much salad you can eat. Same thing with pancakes. I guess it's a one-flavor meal thing. My birthday's coming up, and I'm looking forward to my white coconut cake. I don't have this month's BOM, and haven't had any of the last year's BOMs, but McWiggins always has them, and he is generous with his baccy. I want to pick December's, but I don't know what to pick.

Cramptholomew, just finished a tin of cask #4. I found it to be a little fuller than LNF. When I can I will get a couple more tins. Just a thought, be thankful you have a friend like McWiggins.

Cramptholomew I have a couple packages to get out this week, if you havent tried it yet, I have some #4 that I'll send along with #7. Life is crazy right now, so getting packages out has been the least of my concern. I'll have time this weekend to throw some together though. 4 and 7 are similar to LNF and LBF... similar as in ... the way they look. To me, they're less sharp and more flavorful. I know this has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with this thread. On topic: Once again, I forgot to pick up this months BoM. Maybe I'll grab some later in the month.

I havent forgot. Not yet anyway. I think I need 3 or 4 more days with 26 minutes of sleep before I really lose my mind and forget important things.

OK. Since I bought some of this at the weekend, here are my thoughts on it.
It seemed a little moist on opening, but actually wasn't overly wet when loosened in the tin. The tin note is awesome.
The tobacco burns well and I only had one relight, but that was more due to distraction than the tobacco.
The taste is really good. It's like an aromatic (cos it is) but not over the top. I get a fruity taste which lasts throughout the bowl, although dies down after the half way mark.
Gotta say I like it.
Note: smoked in a country gentleman.

It appears this month's BOM has gone by the wayside.
Next month's hasn't been decided yet either...

This month's BotM is in the same vein as Solani Festival. There's a similar note to the two. It seems some European aromatics share a certain flavoring, which I can't describe, but it's noticably different from most common aromatics, such as 1Q or Sutliff offerings. I really only identified the apple topping when I really tried to focus on it. The topping isn't overwhelming for an aro. It's pleasant, and sweet. The tobacco tasted like a good quality Va/cav blend, typical of high end aromatics, though it seems the tobacco is more a vehicle for the flavoring. No bite whatsoever, and minimal relights. Aro smokers should find this blend appealing.

I have a few different Solani blends in my cellar and the one’s that are aromatics all share a certain similar base note to them. They all tend to smoke the same as well.
With that said, Green Label has an apple flavor and while its tin note is strong, it smokes much lighter. Starts off good and as time goes by, the flavor goes away and just becomes plain. Its not bad stuff and for me is a nice change of pace to load up from time to time but that’s about it.
As always, everyone likes different things and if no one liked this blend, it wouldn’t be produced.

I’ve smoked maybe 4-5 bowls of this now. It’s decent. It’s an aromatic but not goopy or over concentrated with flavor. The apple really comes through on the nose but not much in the smoke. I like the sweetness but I am not overly impressed. I’m glad I was able to try this and it is kind of nice when I mixed in some bold Kent. I’ll finish the tin but probably not a repeat performer.
