Rented an AirBnB in Grand Lake, Colorado. This view is off the back deck. It is a lot prettier in person. Spending a week here with family.  |

That is actually Shadow Mountain Lake, Grand Lake is just around the point on the left in the picture. Grand Lake is natural, Shadow Mtn Lake is really a reservoir. Lake Granby is to the right (South) of this image. All three are gems.

Thanks guys. Went in to Grand Lake today and did the gift shop crawl. Bought two shot glasses and a coffee mug. Saw some really impressive art and handmade goods.

You can always go to the Woods Hole Aquarium, and, uh, I don't know. But hey, you are surrounded other states that are closer to you than the other parts of Texas are to me. That said, we have everything for a vacation except Snow Skiing. We do have artificial motorized ski slopes though. |

Slept in late today. Had a light breakfast and enjoyed the cool weather. Explored the south end of Shadow Mountain Lake and saw a cow moose and her offspring. Could not get a great picture because they were well hidden in some willows. Went into Grand Lake and bought some stuff from a cool little mercantile/thrift store. Got four arrowheads and a powderhorn. Pretty good horn too. Christmas gift for a buddy who also shoots muzzleloaders. Arrowheads are from Indiana and go in my collection. Also got a gently used Case stockman pocket knife. Manna Thrifts and Antiques. Friendly owners. Open year round. This afternoon's shot from the deck facing east, for your viewing pleasure.  |

Tonight, we had dinner at Mustachio's on the south shore of Lake Granby. Very quaint little Italian place with excellent fare. This is the view from out back.  |
