While dusting the "bedroom collection" of pipes today, I found that my old jar of Walnut had a white ,fog-like haze on the inside of the glass. No fuzz on the leaf itself, and no funny aroma...the jar is a repop of the old glass top ,wire clasp jars of bygone days... I shifted the tobacco to a new regular Mason jar ,and smoked a test bowl ,in a Grabow Viking...the smoke had the same taste and mouth feel as I remember ,and ,as far as I can tell, I feel no ill effects...
So what do you think? Was it mold or what? I'd hate to lose six or more ozs of Walnut; but I'd also hate to wake up with one leg shorter than the other, or some such ailment. |

I see that too. It's like condensation but it's not wet. It's never bothered me.

I have been known to "gas off" a time or twenty a day. It is harmless just like your jar. Well, not so harmless to those around me.
