On a similar but different note, Cup O' Joes has the Robert McConnell match blends for those interested.

So McConnell is making Dunhill match blends with different names but Peterson is releasing them under the original names?

Apparently, RM first released them earlier this year before STG bought the rights.

Exciting. I hope they are available worldwide. They’re being released in Germany this month. Hopefully that will extend to Northern Ireland. Can you get Robert McConnell blends ? As Darin wrote above, they came out with a line of Match blends earlier this year. Most of the reviews have been positive too.

So McConnell is making Dunhill match blends with different names but Peterson is releasing them under the original names? Scandinavian Tobacco Group who owns Peterson blends now legally owns the Dunhill blends - names and original recipes (well, at least the recipes that were being produced up to last year). STG also produced the Dunhill blends until their (Dunhill) recent shut down. So my expectation is the Dunhill blends that will come out under the Peterson label will be the authentic blends. McConnell has produced some lookalikes, but they are not exact matches according to many reviews. I've not tasted the McConnells blends so can't say for myself. But Dunhill Flake is one of my favorites so I look forward to seeing it again next year.

I'm in pretty good shape with Dunhills, with the exception of Early Morning Pipe.

Same blends with a Peterson label. That certainly works for me. This is great news for all of us Dunhill fans. I suspected their blends wouldn't be gone for long, but stocked up on them while they were still available just in case.

I found a website in Germany that’s selling the ‘new’ Dunhill blends: www.tecon-gmbh.de/index.phpThey supposedly deliver to the United States. Is anyone familiar with this company?

Given the German shipping times I experienced, they'll probably debut here before an order arrived. Not familiar with, but nice looking site, though java app is very aggressive.

I order from them all the time. Good company. Shipping can take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks. Depending on customs. Customs may tag you with a fee if they feel like it. I can't figure it out. I have tins of the Peterson coming to see how they compare. I have enough Dunhill to last me forever but I'm curious to how they compare. Right now there are only three blends available.

Smoked 3 pipes full & ordered 2 more today. Limit is 2 a day. I like it, but can't compare it to DH because I only have 2 tins of DH left & don't want to pop them yet. But to me, worth the $$.

My head-to-head comparo between DH Elizabethan and McConnell Regent Street has me favoring the M R Street... brighter, sweeter, fruitier tin note, and more spicy perique forward.

Baboo Have you tried the Elizabethan Match. It’s much better than the STG version. Jim (jiminks) found it very similar to the Murray’s version except it lacked any lemon Virginia.

Yes, I have all three. The Sutliff Elizabethan match strikes me as a bit on the sour side which I feel muddies up the original clean bright flavor profile. This may be my tastebuds only as others may have a different impression.

I like it, can't compare it side-by-side with the DH flake because I am saving my last two tins, but will buy this again. Better than many flakes I have tried recently. To me.

I will be comparing these over the next few days. I'm looking forward to your opinions on these new releases. Dunhill blends were last made by Orlik and Peterson blends are currently made by Orlik, so these Peterson branded former Dunhill blends should be the exact same tobaccos with different tin labels.
