Yes, it is a definite calorie bomb. I no longer drink, and the taste always reminded me of Baileys Liqueur. oh here, I can get on board with that.

Its great stuff. Goes well with a pipe, used in coffee as the creamer and sweetener and pour it into an ice cream maker for, well, making ice cream. I never thought of using it as a coffee creamer. I'll have to give that a try.

I'm so glad I started this...we began with egg nog and we've covered bourbon, brandy, all kinds of rum, Southern Comfort ,ice cream, eggs, pumpkin ,coffee cream , and even fruit punch...Now, Kelly, fine fellow that he is, brings us another vote for CHEESECAKE, and the ever popular MARGARITA! ALL I WANT TO KNOW IS...WHAT THE HECK IS "PRETZEL SALAD"? as has been mentioned a few times, welcome to the patch. One time, I started a thread with a lame joke and it went every which way... thebriarpatchforum.com/thread/4367/vienna

We have this jar next to the microwave. Lacy makes us follow her to the kitchen first thing every morning for her reward for being a Princess.

Unlike our good and respected friend cramp my chihuahuas taste is too refined for bone marrow snacks.

How can someone not like cheese cake? They have to be living Homo Antecessor preferring to suck the marrow out of bones and gnaw on sweet breads. That's worse than being subjected to Jello recipes from the 50s. Being as we are off track anyway who likes butter milk that is some vile nasty stuff unless used for making ranch dressing or biscuits and or bread. Buttermilk!!! Oh boy! as a kid ,I remember my Dad holding a glass out to me ,and insisting I drink it, "Damn-it Son, it's not even real buttermilk...it had chunks of butter floating in it in my day" I just couldn't get past that sour taste; made him mad as hell, but since it was my only shortcoming he let it go.
Years later, grown and married, I watched as the wife made her wonderful cornbread. Thinking of my Dad and how I'd let him down, I took a glass and filled it with fresh ,ice-cold buttermilk {whole buttermilk, the best for baking} and down the hatch it went...
somewhere in my small brain a light came on, I LOVED IT!; Pop was right... the only thing I can guess is that it was in the Fall {along this time of year} and ,like corn cob pipes ,some things seem to work better in the fall...
I love it to this day ,but it's so rich I only shoot it from a shot glass with black pepper on top [is your skin crawling yet?] and then only one shot glass every month or so.

This holiday season, I will stick with Broccoli. Broccoli snacks, Broccoli shakes, Broccoli punch with kale. Yes, nothing says "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year" like a big bunch of Broccoli.

I like egg nog, but have to cut it with skim milk. Too rich and sweet by itself for me ... and none shall pass my lips until December 1st.
