I went into a pipe store today and got 1 oz. of each Black Vanilla and Peaches. My idea was to have them mix them for me, but they said a new law prevents that. They said that would be considered making a tobacco which needs a license. True? I was told the black vanilla was a very cool smoke and would help keep other tobaccos cool that I mixed it with. I buy these from glass jars and do not know the brands, but am sure I am paying a premium, but they do allow smoking there and you can bring your own beverages. The only thing I know about them is: Black vanilla is labeled SP521 Peach No 303 They both have stock #'s, but I figure that is for the store. The black is solid black and the peach is black and brown (2 tobaccos) I plan to smoke the peach with my Crown Royal peach. Any way to guess the brand(s) from this?

10 to 1 this is your answer
Newminster No. 303 Creamy Peaches
The vanilla could any number of things. A lot of black vanilla cavendish out there.
As for them mixing, I dont know. A lot of possible coming laws on a national level are in limbo let alone state laws.

I suspect that there might be some law that precludes the shop from mixing tobacco. But that rule is aimed at large tobacco companies. In your case, just buy an oz of each blend you discussed. Then mix the two together in a large bowl.
*** WARNING *** Ask your wife which bowl to use! Whether it matters or not, your wife will have a strong opinion, and it is safer to ask first. Don't ask how I know this.

SP521 could be Smokers Pride vanilla ; just a guess but it should be simple enough to check on. If so ,and you find it to your taste, it's likely much cheaper on line, in the big bags.
