Having been a 759 smoker for over 30 years while it was made and cried when it changed then dissapeared. I find Sutliff makes a match! I see where Jim Inks gives it 4 stars and was wondering if any of you have smoked it and how close to a "match" you find it? I'm asking about the BS that came in the black and gold tin not the current white tinned BS which is NOT the old 759 !

The Sutliff 759 match entered in the Chicago Show 759 contest was surprisingly my favorite entry. I smoked them blind in matching pipes along with the control and two other vintage 759 samples at home after the show.

You've got me a little confused. I have a couple tins of Balkan Sobranie, maybe 4 years old. I'm not sure which one it is.

Your match is G.L. Pease Meridian or Robert Lewis Tree Mixture.
