After an early lunch ,I'm having a bowl of Jack Peterson's "Bargain Blend" ,from Sterling Tobacco...a miss matched offering I've had for years ,and a bargain it was at fifteen bucks a pound. A dark mix of browns and blacks I get a black cavendish/virgina sweetness with mild latakia. stays lit well ,and smokes very cool in this old Diplomat from M.M.

I never pulled the trigger on that..maybe i should! I guess a bargain mix can be hit or miss, but from what I've seen Jack uses some top notch tobaccos in his blends, and the prices reflect that. The Bargain blend price was a deep enough cut to draw me in , and I the result was good enough to make me think of ordering Watch City's bargain bundle.

Started the morning with a bowl of Stonehenge in a Davorin Morta Rhodesian. Peet's coffee at my side. Fall appears to be here in Northern California. Leaves are starting to turn, cooler days have arrived, though we usually get a heat spell in October before its all over. We'll see how that goes. But it indeed feels nice.

Apparently I am doing something of the minority in smoking a pipe, the majority of members not posting in WAYS and I am more convinced daily that a percentage don't smoke a pipe at all.

I try, but with 3 little ones, sometimes it takes me all afternoon to finish one pipe. Believe me, I miss my 5-6 pipes a day.

Good evening Patchers!
Earlier had a walk with the fam and burned some Sutliff V sliced in a MM Legend. Moved on to a bowl of OJK in the Medico Guardsman and got some work done. Now I am here catching up with you fine folks here having some PS Natural Dutch Cavendish (PSNDC I guess, lol) in the 1950s Kaywoodie Lovat(40). Which tastes totally different in this pipe compared to a cob which I also enjoy.
Side note, this is a rare day for me to smoke 3 pipes. My son is getting more consistent sleep and naps so Ive been able to squeeze them in, and boy am I happy about it! Hope your all fine and well and fully enjoying the smokes, and for some of you the autumn weather. I'm still waiting.

Resorted and restacked the tobacco cabinet today, making room for more tobacco as the Richmond show draws near. I ran across a jar of something I tossed together and put away in the hope that it would improve in time... it has not!!! Smoking a bowl of hot steamy cavendish crap, it a diplomat.
