They look that little bit fancier without having to pay the price.

Looks like I should have been more careful. Time for a new stem, and a good time for a forever stem. This Legend is over a year old. I've had a legend for about three years now. They're good pipes. I've replaced the plastic stem once on it. Right now its out in the truck. Thats the great thing about cobs. Hot or cold, they don't crack. I think I'll eventually get a forever stem for my cob, too. The older they get, the more character they have, too.

The Danish stems are easier to clench too.

So these Danish stems really are acrylic and only cost 75 cents? How do they make a profit?

We buy Josh nice things and he just wont take care of em. LMAO Sometimes you can find the Nording stems they are better quality for a few more dollars.

I prefer the Danish stems for my cobs now that I've used them.
The Churchwarden breaking was disheartening. But I suppose it gives me a reason to go shopping. It was my sitting down, doing nothing, Aro pipe. I'll get a pic of it this afternoon. Luckily, it was just a Baracinni, so it wasnt "expensive." The draw was tight, and the bowl was big, which made it work well for aros.
Maybe I'll just jam a hollow stick in it.

The older they get, the more character they have, too. I couldnt agree more. My 2 legends are my oldest cobs. They've been abused, but I love them. They're stained up, have color pulling through them and just look rough... but they still smoke like a dream. They're probably the best $8 I've spent in my life.

I had a casualty of my own making this morning. I went to unscrew my Williard pot to clean ,and the stem was very hard to turn. It came lose ,at last ,but when I put it back together I found I'D overturned it ...Now should I try to force it , and take the chance of snapped shank, or steam it ,and try to make it right??

If it turns past 12 o'clock, you should just keep turning slowly until it lines up again. May have to warm it up. On screw in stems, don't over tighten.

could be an easy fix, the two pieces should fit together well, get someone to cut you a delrin tenon that and drill the stem parts to take it then glue it all up. I'm probably not describing it well but..

I understand what you mean. I'm sure I could fix it, and eventually I'll attempt to... but any reason to pipe shop is a good reason!
I fixed a gurgling Peterson, this should be easy
