Cheese from Wisconsin, and Kentucky whisky...breakfast of champions. Sadly, there is no whisky from Kentucky of which Iโm familiar, only whiskey.

You need to broaden your horizon, Hoss. Whisky comes before Whiskey in the dictionary.... en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/WhiskyRegardless.....It was a play on words

Maytag blue cheese from America rocks. I can get by on Calley wine. I like my whiskey from a hidden still. Winning!

Because losing all our good jobs to foreign lands and importing everything until we are a third class country is losing. But I digress.

I have enough Single Malt to Last until after Brexit at least. Then we start over with a new deal. Once the Brits are gone Italy is next. That covers my favorite drinks except for Ouzo. I have 3 bottles in the freezer. ๐๐

Sure is a good thing this forum has a strictly enforced "no politics" policy. Winning! (At becoming number 3?) ๐

Rum is the big looser. The US Trade Representative website lists the tariff on rum at 27 cents per liter.

FWIW, I see this as more of a discussion about economics rather than politics; but only barely. Hard to separate the two most of the time.

If 27ยข/litre makes a difference, you need a better rum!

There are some good rums made in the U.S. by craft distillers. There are some poor rums made on some Islands that should have a tariff of $5.00 per liter just so we won't be tempted to buy it.

I drink very rarely and very little, but when I do it's Buffalo Trace Kentucky Bourbon or a Coors Banquet beer. I reckon Europe has very little I would miss.

Doesn't Rum come from Puerto Rico, an American territory?
