for what I think may well be the best pipe show I've been to. As always ,pipes ,and tobacco ,and tampers and knives, and cigars and such, but much more than that ,Our hosts went so far to make the great event for pipers.
The wife and I{in our orange M.M. shirts} got there early , and found the Sutliff folk both friendly and helpful. Tables were set up inside and out ,and the weather couldn't have been better.
After about two hours, having added two estate pipes and a good amount of tobacco to my plunder, the wife and I ended up at an outside table with some cupcakes and coffee. Soon we were joined by a young man, then another ,and then two more ...we sat and talked for a moment, and as pipers will do , we began showing off our pipes and such...
Over an hour and a half passed as we had lunch , then exchanged tobacco and sat together ,smoking and laughing and sharing the joy that comes from the brotherhood of our hobby.
Later we all took an interesting tour of the factory together, and afterward a bit more shopping, then, being "old folks" , the wife and I headed for home.
I'm sure names were exchanged ,but I suffer from C.R.S. , but what I'll always remember is the friendship and fun shared by all.
