I don't follow baseball much but I was hoping that the Astros could beat the Yanks like a drum...the first game was pretty one sided.

The 'Stros are really going in streaks for the last couple of months. Still winning more than they lose. All they have to do is just win the average % of the regular season.

Pulling for a payoff for MattressMack, Ron. He wins either way. He has a bet to cover the furniture giveaway. Worst case he loses $3.5 million. He can afford it.

There is that...
Hey....who edited my thread title?...I would suspect a Yankees fan, but they would put in "Wold Sewees."

I'm a Cardinals fan, and right now I'm wishing they would have saved a few of the 10 runs from the first inning of game 5.

I enjoy rooting for my local team, and having moved a few times, I've had different loyalties.
Also enjoy rooting for another team when/if/as my team is no longer in contention.

Dodgers no fair weather fan here pick one team and stay with em. I have a different take. Teams are comprised of athletes and a coaching staff, and over time they can evolve or devolve and I don't mean anything about the win vs loss ratio. Loyalty is earned and lost in that regard...some teams lack the class, distinction and humility that others before them had. I have no desire to be beholden to a logo, name or the region they are based out of...I have changed favorite teams in that regard over the years. Condor Plug was great when Coach Gallagher was at the helm, not so much now.

Yankees fan since 1972! My first Yankees game! My mom was was a Yankees fan for most of her life. She listened to the Babe Ruth era teams on the radio, and before we got the Colt 45's, and even after, she watched every Yankee game that had Mickie Mantle and Roger Maris in it. I remember watching her bounce up and down in her chair getting so excited. She would absolutely love this series.

Just watched the Washington Nationals reserve their spot. If the Cardinals couldn't win, I'm happy to see Washington finally make it.

Washington's sudden leap strikes me as supernatural. There is a historic precedent.

...and That is the sad truth!! When my little piece of plug is gone, I will be crying about it for a week or more...really like the old Condor.

I imagine there are some misguided fans who support the Nationals. Meanwhile America's team is represented by Houston.
Just kidding.
I wish their name was still The Washington Senators. Although "Washington Bellhops" might have been more descriptive.

I don't have a dog in the fight, but am sorta pulling for the Nationals just because Washington hasn't had a WS champion since 1924.
