Are there any other members from Vancouver? (Or, as I call it, ‘Hitler’s Bunker’)
I have been here since 2011 and while I could get very good cigars (at extortionate prices) the pipe smoking scene here is grim.
The one bright spot has been getting to know Steve Laug of RebornPipes, who is practically my neighbour here in East Van.

It sucks that you guys are hammered so hard on taxes...if you know a snowbird that comes to the sunbelt down here, convince them that they need to mule some north in their RV.

Welcome to the forum, we are thin on Canadian members. I don’t really even care about the taxes. ‘Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s’ and all that. It’s the severe restrictions on access and the customs delays that are so frustrating and unnecessary. BC is particularly bad. |

The Vancouver Pipe Club meets once a month in Richmond BC. City Cigar near False Creek has a nice selection of pipes and tobaccos. And if you're up for a trip a little east, in Surrey there is pipe carver Steven Downie and a little further east is me.... Briar Blues, based in Langley BC.

He has a Sultans tent with Oriental rugs and a fireplace for his pipe smoking pleasure. I believe we have a couple on this forum too. |

Glukler Thank you, Michael! I did just recently put together that you were around here after having enjoyed many of your YT videos. I would love to come visit! Do you keep regular business hours? I had such a bad experience several years ago with a clerk at CC and vowed never to go back, but that was before I finally switched from cigars to pipes for good. I’ve had very good results buying pipes online and through Steve, but finding good tobacco is another and considerably more complicated plot line. I should get over it and go back there at least to see what they have. ‘Any port in a storm’ and all that. |

Kramerica; I don't have "normal" business hours per say. I am usually home ( where the business is ) Mondays - Thursdays. Best is to email or call first.  I think most of the staff at CC has changed in the past few years. Constance ( the owner ) is a sweet heart. Always kind and courteous. They do have a fellow there that is a pipe smoker.
