I feel like this is just the cycle of generations. I'm SURE every young generation dismisses the elder generation as those who've made the world what it is, and it's their time to improve on it. I have a feeling that throughout time, the youth have been a$$holes, and the elder generation has expressed that notion. I'm 44, so I'm no longer a youth, yet I'm not an elder. I can say that a lot of people my age have gotten to the place where their youthful hubris has finally begun to wear off, and have started to embrace the wisdom of their elders. I think it's just that way, and every generation goes through it. As far as Twitter goes, don't forget, the men that are now in their 60s and 70s created the building blocks that today's world is built on. They built the Computers, and the internet, that today's social media runs on.

Don’t do it. Twitter is for people who can’t talk shat to someone’s face so they do it online. When I was in high school there was no internet, social media or twitter. We had real face to face conversation and I firmly believe I’m better for it.

I'm on it. I don't "tweet" myself, but follow others on it. It's like any other social media, in my opinion, has its advantages and disadvantages.

Pretty happy that Donaldus Magnus uses it so efficiently.
The legacy media distort, lie, and promote false narratives every day and they collectively crap their pants that he is able to use it to go above their heads and take it to the people. People complain about the bombastic nature of his tweets, but somehow seem to overlook the media that labels him as a Nazi, white supremacist, and gleefully retweet Felonia Von Pantsuit Hillary calling him Ahab and his wife Jezebel. A turnabout is fair play.

Twitter? I don't even text. If you want talk to me call me. I had to shut texting off on my phones because people would text me for a service call and I refuse to text back. I can't read them when driving or working without having to stop what I'm doing but I can talk and drive and work.

We live in Orwell's 1984. The man was a prophet.
It's one of the main reasons I'm on Twitter, one way to circumvent the mainstream media which is complete propaganda.
Of course now all the giant tech platforms; Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Google, etc., are all being scrubbed of any politically incorrect "hate speech".

The Bottom Line... it might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I am truly appreciative that the sitting President (OUR President; disgusted by the previous occupant, but never denied his position even if I denied his right to hold it, Grow Up) has found an outlet from the Executive to the People. Only those who wish for destruction would hope that the Elected cannot communicate with the Electorate.
One can decide to turn their back because reality isn't isn't an echo chamber, or one can strive for peaceful solutions. Turn your back and refuse discourse, and you choose violence. It's defacto. I know no one who wants that, but it's the result of the degradation of communication. War is politics by another means. If you deny someone's ability to circumvent a blockade of information then you deny one side's ability to propose solutions, you have mapped out the inevitable.
We live in critical times. Choosing to pick up your ball and go home because you don't like the message is childish at the least, and murderous at the greatest.
Personally, I turn off Twitter because I find it inane. But, I appreciate reporters telling me about what those who have their hands on the wheel of government have to say... technology has simply brought us a new thing for honest reporters to pay attention to.
Flame on, but this is a First Amendment issue. There is no, "Yeah, but..." without accepting 100,000,000 - 300,000,000 deaths in the 20th Century with a vocalized exception.
Twitter is annoying, but it is inadvertently serving a purpose.

I’ll bite my tongue and just say I’m active on Twitter and most of you would not agree with my political views.
