I have heard my kids mention it, but I have no idea what it is. Technology is just going to fast for me these days.

I got on it when it first started and I thought it was worse than useless. Time has proven that it is much worse than I thought.

our cell phone is a rudimentary basic TracFone. Only used when power failure. Our landline part of the Spectrum 3-1 plan we've had for around 15yrs, is hooked up right into the computer, other end in "phoneJack" in the wall. Plenty good enuf for us low-tech folks. Supposedly Trump has it, always blabbering stuff over it. Ask him what it's all about (No, not a Trump hater). We can be reached pretty easy via either phone or e-mail...ok to PM. Hell, even street address, ask for via same

Twitter tweets are for twits.
Language is a poor enough means of expression, we should use all the words we need to communicate.
The above two lines are the approximate length of a Twitter message. Good luck with that.

It is a great vehicle for people in unguarded moments to post a momentary thought that is regrettable for many moons.
Not a twitterer here.

No personal experience here, except for reading many regrettable posts by some of our current fearless leaders.
Twitter is just a social media outlet that restricts messages to a certain, pretty short length (160 characters maybe?) I've never understood the point of that, myself. I enjoy online discussion, but don't see the point in length limits... a fully formed thought takes as many characters as it takes, and why you'd want to artificially limit that is beyond me.

I use twitter to follow a couple of F1 journalists daily and a few others occasionally but I rarely post anything.

Twitter is for people who don't have anyone to listen to them in real life and they really don't have anything worth saying.

Any opinions on this? The median age of Twitter employees/execs is 28. There doesn’t exist a more ageist medium in an inherently ageist media ecosystem and no amount of exposure is safe. Avoid!!

I can't get on Twitter..A weird reason why. Some months ago I changed my phone number. It seems that someone else had the number that I now have and gave it up.It seems that they had a twitter account under that number and didn't close it before they surrendered the number. Now twitter won't let me in.They say they already have an open account under my number..I say the hell with them.

There was a saying "Don't trust anyone over the age of 30" or some such thing. The only old dudes I recall being acceptable were musicians, writers or artists. Today, We are slow and uninformed about media and devices compared to the young. Many of us carry the prejudices of our times and it shows on occasion. I don't fault the young for their criticisms.

I fault the hell out of the young they think everything is better if they just throw out the wisdom of the last 5000 years. Older people have no wisdom or life experience that means anything. They are welcome to rot in the world they create.
