A few weeks ago, I attended a Pipe Club meeting, which was my first, and at that meeting I met Steve Monjure, and viewed his very nice collection of Ardor Pipes. His giant sized pipes really caught my attention, but so did their prices. What I did not know that night was that he was letting go of them for 25% off. The following week I searched Ardor Pipes, and reviewed a little history of them. I've been a big fan of pipes carved in Italy, and the majority of my collection are Italian Pipes. I have a few Caminetto's, A couple Savenelli's, and four Il Ceppo's, so adding an Ardor Pipe to my collection seemed logical, if I could find the size and shape that intrigued me. In searching online, I came across some Moretti Pipes, which were described as Ardor Giant Sized. I absolutely fell in love with an Oom Paul shaped Giant. I was able to ask a few questions, in which the seller had them described as new and unsmoked, and best of all was willing to accept offers. He shot me off a price I couldn't refuse, Nearly 30% off his asking price, So I pulled the trigger and grabbed it. I'll include a few pictures of my new pipe, which will do it NO justice, The size of this awesome pipe is tremendous, I'll list also the pipes description so you can try to visualize it. Weight: 7.7 ounces Bowl Height: 3.5 inches Chamber Depth: 3 inches Bowl Width: 2.5 inches Factory XXL bag included. A legitimate Magnum sized pipe with 3 inches of chamber and a bowl 3.5 inches tall! With a 2.5 inch wide bowl this should smoke cool for hours if you pack it full. I love an Oom Paul shape and the way they hang disperses much of the weight. Because of its size it gets a pretty high 4 Delta 2 grade. New Ardor Giant Sized Oom Paul Pipe By Moretti 7.7 Ounces! Smooth Recessed Rim Condition is New.
Hopefully the pictures come out visible for everyone, When reclining with this pipe, it almost reminds me of a smaller version of a saxophone. She is absolutely a great smoker, and the stem is Acrylic. I promise you I'll be enjoying this pipe for many moons to come!

Holy shat. That thing is huge. Been wanting a Aurdor for a while but can’t get past the price. Enjoy smoking that beast if it doesn’t smoke you first!

Nice pipe, some of the guy's in my pipe club have some giant pipes and I've picked up a couple large sized pipes and am happy with how well they smoke. If anyone tries to mug you while smoking that pipe, you can bash them in the head with it.

I have a giant Dublin. It is a good smoker for when I am kicking back in the recliner. It is bent so that it rests on my chest.

Marco makes a good pipe. I had this nine ounce tin killer that I got from him for $80 a few years ago.

What is that pipe shape, Duane?
Beautiful piece of briar, as is the original post...I smoke mostly Virginias and burleys... when I do smoke lat blends my larger pipes really deliver the goods.

My big Ardor, 256grams! Does it come with training wheels? OldCajun, That's a beautiful pipe, and big too. My Ex-Wife told me I was like a Bull in a China Shop, as big of a guy as I am, I always had problems with small and fragile items. In packing my pipe, I've kinda learned to pack it initially with pushing down on the tobacco into the bowl using my index finger, and yet still feel the springiness of the tobacco. In a small pipe, I can't get my finger into the bowl, and smoking a small pipe looks like Godzilla with a Marlboro in his lips..... Every pipe I purchase has to meet the requirements of being a big to xxl bowl, with a stem to match the pipe if I'm going to like it. My favorite pipe is an Il Ceppo, with a huge apple bowl, and full bent stem. As I recline and enjoy TV, The bowl actually rests on my chest, and I smoke it effortlessly. The other night at the Pipe Meeting, in meeting Steve Monjure, I noticed he had a good many stout pipes, big bowls, and that's what I like in a pipe, Cute, small or dainty just doesn't work at all for my taste. The first time I loaded this Moretti up with Tobacco, and lit it, in puffing on the pipe, I could easily feel my mouth fill up with smoke, and could visualize smoke running out of both sides of my mouth, my nose and ears too in an effortless manner. Immediately after lighting it, I could instantly smell the Room Aroma change to a sweet smell of smoke, and that's exactly what I wanted. This Moretti definitely does it for me, and the pipe easily smokes for a couple of hours, unless I rest it and allow it to go out. Owning this pipe really does it for me, I love everything about it. It definitely wasn't cheap, but I could see myself buy more pipes in it's size for my collection. This Moretti just really fits me well, I'm not afraid of it crumbling in my hands, or harming it accidentally, as with other pipes I've had, and OldCajun, I can definitely see a pipe like yours being a favorite. The world of Big/Huge pipes is a new find for me, but a look, feel, and smoke I can definitely appreciate.

Those sure are some beauties. So multi purpose too. Pipe. Personal protection. Conversation piece. Golf club. I don’t know if I could smoke an entire tin at once tho!😆
Seriously, those are all awesome.
