I really enjoyed the Dunhill Early Morning Pipe & Nightcap, so when I heard that Dunhill was not going to make them anymore, I broke down & cried 😂<——Well maybe not that bad lol But now that Peterson is remaking EMP & Nightcap, I am excited to try them out. I like that the artwork is the same, which kinda makes the old Dunhill tins, collector items now. I get my tins tomorrow & will make a full report then😀🧙🏼♂️

I got the 4 tins today and my wife wanted to smell them (she likes the smell of most my tobaccos before I smoke em) She really liked em and so did I. So I reached for my good clean Peterson, and loaded the bowl with EMP. I was delightfully surprised to taste the same tangy zestyness of the original. Then the Latakia came thru smooth & seemed better than I remembered it to be. So I cleaned my Peterson and let it breath for a bit, then loaded a bowl of the Nightcap. Again that tangy zesty Latakia came thru as with the EMP. I am pleased with them both & will stock up a bit. Overall Peterson did a great job with the same blend. This is just my humble opinion.😀🧙🏼♂️

If they re-release Durbar I'm totally in. The STG Dunhill's are class all the way.

I must pick up some of this. I bought the charatan version but I've yet to open the tin.
I'm glad peterson seem to be maintaining the standard from previous iterations.

Visited SP and just about all the new Peterson branded stock is sold out.
I guess Panic Mode is the new norm.

I'm happy to say that my go-to online tobacco stockist now has them in stock.

I’m happy British Tobacco finally did the right thing by selling the rights to the blends. So far everyone seems happy with the ‘new’ blends. I guess I need to pickup up some Dunhill (Peterson) Flake. So what’s everyone’s favorite Peterson Dunhill ?

They (the Petes) should be the same as any recent Dunhill XYZ as the same blender is making them. Just different tin art!
And the "Dunhill-Peterson XYZ " that STG is making is the third or fourth iteration of each name. Dunhill itself has long been out of the pipe tobacco blending business.

It says right on the tin label: Original Recipe So that’s what it is. Got mine at smokingpipes.com. But when I went back the next day, they were outa stock of Nightcap, so you gotta be right on top of it to stock up on em both. Luv the stuff😀🧙🏼♂️

This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Same factory, same recipe, same leaf. The only thing that has changed is the name that STG is printing on the tin label.

Nightcap was my first love. I dont smoke it very much anymore, but it's good to return to sometimes. I need to grab a few of the new ones so my Dunhill ones can just sit and look pretty

Just posted in the mail thread that I've ordered some nightcap. Maybe I'll open it now rather than cellar.

Despite having more in my cellar than I think I'll ever smoke, I am going to order some of the Peterson Dunhills. I've cellared a substantial amount of Dunhill Flake. Now I can let those age and order some Peterson Flake and smoke those to my hearts content. And Nightcap, as well.

Just opened my new tin of Peterson Nightcap. I am sick so I can't smoke, but it smells exactly the same. Heavenly. I look forward to this. Like old times.

Dunhill has merely been a brand for the last 38 years. I started with 965 back in '73 then moved on to Royal Yacht in '76 and have to say ALL of the folks who have blended their brand did a fine job of replicating these blends and well's see how Peterson's ( ie. STG) does! I've ordered 5 tins of the "new RY" so I'll know soon!

So, the Peterson's labelled blends are exactly the same as the last Dunhill iteration.
