The only time I had my auto trans serviced it blew up the next week. I don't understand why because I have serviced them myself and had no issues. I even rebuilt a couple. Changed out a bunch of valve bodies with performance mods, which requires a service, and I have swapped torque converters just for a day at the strip and put the "street" converter back when I got home. It ain't brain surgery. If the transmission fails after being serviced then I would bet that the mechanic was either incompetent or crooked. The wrong trans fluid, or a little added STP will burn up the bands quickly and dump crap in the pump, over load the filter causing a lack of flow, etc. If you do it right it will be fine.

Here is how it works the fluid with debris over time wears out the valve body. Clean shavings or not. So when you change the fluid it out it loosens those deposits and cannot build enough pressure to shift correctly. They make inserts to resize the holes but it is always best to install a new valve body. When a transmission over heats more often than not the fins in the torque convertor bend out of shape. That is why you should always buy a new torque convertor. Stacking plates from a kit is the easy part. The system itself is sealed and if not overheated the fluid will remain within its properties of lubrication for a very long time.

It looks like the only truck I can find to meet my requirements is going to have the hemi and the 6 speed trans. Not a bad trans, but not the smoothly perfect 8 speed. If you haven't driven one, you don't really know how nice it is.

Got the new vent covers put on the Fifth Wheel today and the TV antenna UHF add on piece. Also removed all the shade sails and put them away. I paid someone to go on the roof and removed all the inside trim and that is more work than up top. Didn't get started until late so tomorrow I will clean all the trim and get it put back on. I was worth the fifty bucks not having to go on the roof. So one project down and 500 unfinished ones to go, I call that good progress.

Yeah he does good work but he has no teeth and I think he might be a meth head and has a very low IQ. But he picked up all the packaging trash and even cleaned the tools and put them away. I think I could have got the work cheaper but they do have two children and xmas is coming. I think the kids will be my Secret Santa project this year.

My wifi project did nothing to increase my speed however my signal out was amazing. I took the booster out of the line and put it back in the box.
