WCDCC is a great blend with almost universal appeal. It is not heavily topped, but has a great, smooth, cool flavor. Never bites or intrudes on your thoughts. More like a Chivas than a Laphroaig. If you like this style of tobacco, you really should try the various Wilke blends. I don't see them getting as much respect as they deserve around here. They have several light to medium Englishs, and many lightly flavored aros. I like #191, a light honey and vanilla topping, Rumcake, the best rum flavored blend you can buy, #400, a medium English, Best Make, #515, a light aro favored by Basil Rathbone, and Pipemakers Choice. They are all top quality and many of the recipes are well over a hundred years old. John Brandt is also an excellent person to deal with.

I wouldn't mind trying a few from Wilke's but smoke aromatics very infrequently. Almost any blend that includes Black Cavendish usually doesn't pass muster for me and it's my hopes that the toppings in WCDCC will be minimal and not cloud that lovely burley flavor like it does in ERR Match or Sutliff Breckenridge. BTW ... Wilke's is having a 20% sale on bulks until 12-2-19

I was tempted to get some Rumcake with the 20% sale. But I'm sure I could buy a few ounces and it would last me my whole life. It's a good blend, with good flavor, just not something I find myself craving very often.
It's strange, I actually like rum flavored tobacco but i never find myself WANTING it.
I'm going to have to get some Crumb Cut though.

If you don't like it, I'll buy it from you.

I ordered some Deluxe Crumb and Watch City Slices awhile back, and Ernie threw in a couple of ounces of Quints Own to sample. I only recall having a bowl or two of each, and even tried the Quints even though I'm not really a fan of Latakia anymore.
I'll have to dig them out and give them a try again. They are buried in the tobacco closet somewhere.

Seems that word about Watch City is really getting around! On one hand I'm glad, they are great and deserve the recognition, on the other I need to stock up

That said, so is this new Ken Byron guy too... Except that he is out of stock on most ones I want to try (those that JimInks reviews favorably ) Also, my four ounces of the DCC came in today. It is good to go straight away, or does it need some age on it?

Read the reviews on the Wilke blends. 😈🤠 I like Crystal Palace, and (I think) 524. LSU sent me a bunch for secret santa last year. I have to go back and try them again. I liked them all, though.
