I know this a long shot, but anyone have one of those PIMO tenon turning tools I could borrow? I'll pay for shipping back and forth, obviously. I need it for one job, and I'd rather not spend $70 on one from Vermont Freehand.

I almost bought one just for my own purposes a couple of years ago when I was replacing several stems, but I worked around the need for it. I was working back then so $70 wasn't a big deal like it is now. Don't you see an ongoing need for one?

I need one to cut a tenon on a piece of organic material that is far from round, which I would do in my drill press. I'm trying to come up with a way around it, if I can't get my hands on one to borrow.

No problem Jason. You did me a favor and I'm doing the same in return.

This is the reason that the members of the Patch are simply the best...the relationship here is that of family, not just folks who have little interaction with one another. Over and over we see the best of friendships that encompass our members. We come to the aid of each other and support each other as a family does....a place where the best of us is actively demonstrated day after day...yeah we occasionally have some friction, but it is worked out and usually everyone comes out to be a winner. We have shown our support not only to each other but to the organization that Justin (Sparks) has put together.

You said you have a lathe, why not use it instead? That's how I cut my integral tenons and most pipe makers.

You repaired the stem on my Ropp that SP screwed me on. I still have faith you can pull a diamond shank off, some of the pipes you have turning out lately look more complicated.

I've got the diamond shank on the list for after the holidays.
