I have seen Parson live more than once and even though Eric Woolfson has passed it is always a great show. With a full orchestra baking up the show it is a moving experience. You can buy the CD's and listen on YouTube but you can not duplicate the experience of being there. The last three times I purchased tickets for Yes the shows were all cancelled. Alan is no spring chicken so see him while you can. I often regret not going to see Ray Price one more time before he passed.

That is the way I see it also, Sean.
What amazed me in the last show is how many songs over several decades they performed with a lot of different singers...every song was nailed, and sounded better than the original...Alan is a perfectionist on bringing a show to town. Whenever he releases something new, people offering reviews can get really critical about anything that came after Eric Woolfson...hey it is what it is...I didn't care for "A Valid Path", but he was trying to stretch his creative legs and push the boundaries...that can be said for a lot of artists...the last show we saw, he instinctively knew what the audience wanted and delivered in spades...it will be a sad day for me if he leaves the dusty globe ahead of me.
My daughter is quite the reader..and at the same age I was at when Tales of Mystery and Imagination came out when I was younger...at the same age she was into Edgar Allan Poe. That Christmas, I bought her the CD, and she was hooked. She will be going with me and my wife, and she is pretty excited about it...I already bought the tickets, but in hindsight, I should have gotten her the meet and greet ticket.

There are also less known works like Keats and The Gambler.

I first read that as Alan Partridge... What a legend. Just don't confuse Paul McCartney with the Apostle Paul, Paddy...you will be in Big heap trouble as we say in the southwest.
