Don't toss your Boveda packs when they get dry and crispy. Place then s Tupperware container and cover with distilled water for a few days.. they will absorb the distilled water and be good as new!

Fantastic, never thought of that. I use those babies for a cigar humidor. Will definitely try that out.

The higher humidity of the pack you want to recharge means your recharge time will be longer. A 67 % pack will take three or four days while a 72% pack is a good six or seven days if it totally dry.

I live in a area where I can pretty much dry box everything and be ok. But when I decided to restock the cee gars I went with a plastic ammo can because humidity control issues are ZERO while not perfectly airtight they are close enough that a Boveda pack or water pillow remains viable for a very long time. www.planomolding.com/shop/hunting/ammo-storage/element-proof-field-ammo-box-large price paid about eleven dollars at the local sports store and another ten for a sheet of Spanish cedar. I have two of these now and they work much better than any wood humidor I have ever owned.

I wasn't sure it would work but it did! It took a week including drying the paper out.
