Poured my morning coffee and on way to living room, a small fly dove in and drowned. There may be a lesson here, but I've yet to suss it out.  *yes, I got a new cup. |

I would have removed the fly and drank the coffee. I've been exposed to way worse than that in my work.

I would have drank it after removing the fly as he probably didn't drink to much of it.

 I've drank and eaten worse but I'm civilized now, tried to eat Baby Monkey on a spit, couldn't ,it reminded me of a little baby, so I ate grub worms toasted on my knife blade.

Yeah, there was a time when I would have said, Ooh Meat!
Nowadays, I hate the dirty little bastards and would have dumped the coffee and washed the cup thoroughly before refilling.

Consider yourself lucky...while on a break a few months back, I pt a flake of tobacco on top of a concrete wall to dry while taking a break in my tractor...a crow landed, and flew off with my flake.

Heh. I read it as " A small dove flew in...." Good thing. Flies don't drink very much, but a dove has all those feathers to sift through.
