if this isnt allowed forgive me in advance. I am in the market for some new to me pipes> I wanna try a Falcon. ( which will lead to another post) would like to hear from others on a favorite seller or other links to but used pipes.

Falcons can be hit or miss on EBay. Crimped tubes, reefed on bits, etc. SP English Estates periodically has like new examples, albeit at the upper end of the price range, but you do get a good pipe.

If you can find a Grabow Viking they smoke at least as well as are usually cheaper. I gave away the one Falcon that I bought out of curiosity. I have a half dozen Vikings.

And the bowls from several competing brands fit them, while the Falcon bowls are unique due to the interrupted threads. Most third party Falcon bowls use a press-fit o-ring because of the difficulty in cutting the proper threads. The Vikings have a removable stem which is both better to bite and easier to clean.
