I'm all for a usable electric truck. That monstrosity is only a truck by size and given name.

GM had some full sized pickups and suburbans that were gas over electric. I think they sold like a dozen. No one wants a power plant in their neighborhood and the grids are maxed out. Every summer lots of bigger cities get brown outs. So riddle me this batman, how are we going to charge 200 million electric cars. Thank the stars we had enough sense to ditch the Paris Accord where China could make all the smog they wanted while we paid for it. Just for fun look up lithium and see how nasty it is. Then look up Tesla and see how long it takes to get one repaired after a minor fender bender. No thanks folks I am holding out for a better solution. YMMV

YMMV I think GM is in the electric truck business but not advertising it. We had the Chevy Cruze plant close up here and shortly after some company bought the plant for 20 mil and will start making electric trucks. The strange part is they look like Chevy pick ups. It's really odd how fast all this came down. As far as that Tesla truck goes, that is the ugliest truck I have ever seen.

I agree it is ugly and as out of place as a DeLorean was when it was made. I do not want to detract from the engineering that gets put into Tesla I like the cars just not the way they are powered. I would like to see a two cylinder diesel charging those batteries or something along those lines. Honda was on to something back in 2000 when they had the three wheel gas over electric. But it to was ahead of its time. There are all kinds of battery operated machines like forklifts and heavy mining equipment. If only they had not sabotaged Nikola Tesla 432 hz The Theory Of Free Energy we would live in a much different world today.

There is a company selling crate electric engines, getting quite a following with car enthusiasts, and truck people, Musk has been sucking the Governments teat and this unbreakable truck is laughable, our electric grid is outdated, and as Sean said lithumn is a horrible environment destroyer when you have to shitcan it. That said I liked the looks of that truck, but wouldn’t own one, I’m a tradional truck guy.

Not that you're going to see a lot of electric cars in Texas anytime soon, although I do see a lot of Teslas in Houston. The new Model Y crossover seems really popular when we go into town. I think the new truck looks like a prop for Robocop 3, but I have to admit that I am intrigued by it. I will have to drive one out of curiosity if they ever hit the street.

That is an impressive motor...kinda big! I'd have a little trouble fitting it in the S-10 engine compartment.

I think that sometimes the creator throws a reality check to someone that thinks a bit too much of themselves, and he deserved to have a big fail for all to see.
That piece of junk doesn't even represent what a truck is, it looks like a science fair project by the nephew of Bubba.

That truck reminds me of years ago when Detroit would test drive new vehicles under wraps/disguise in public.

I'll not have to worry about that, for you see the Ford Ranger I have is the last vehicle I'll ever own. I take good care of it and it does me. Besides, unless a unforeseen incident happens like winning the lottery I'll never be able to afford another so this one has to last me and that's just fine with me, I like my Pick'em Up!
