Since it's Sunday go to meeting day, gotta wear some bling. Wearing my Orient Star that now is on a Aligator strap.
Nice Orient, I have my eye on several, but I don't have any excuse to buy another watch. 😕 Kinda like an excuse to buy another pipe huh?

I'm using a Timex Indiglo digital for my everyday watch and have a couple Indiglos with actual hands that I wear out. I don't go out often so they pretty much sit and wait to see daylight. I've worn a watch for going on 40 years and cannot imagine not wearing one.

The first good watch I ever bought was an Accutron back in the 70s. If I had kept it, it would be worth 10x what I paid for it. I think I was wearing it when I had the head on with the semi and haven't seen it since. My next quality watch was a titanium Wenger SA that I wore every day for at least 20 years. It still works fine, but it is beat up pretty good.

Going out with some friends tonight so I'm gonna wear the nicest watch I have, my 1950's Rolex Day/date with a rare grey dial. I bought it in '74 for $400.00 and had it appraised recently at $20k ! Seems not many were made with the grey dial whitch makes for it's value today !

I have a Wenger Attitude Swiss Quartz Day and Date watch. It was on sale and affordable. I like it because the numbers are big enough to see. Seems like when I want to know the day or date, it is 15 past the hour and the minute hand is covering the day and date or it's 3 and the hour hand is doing the same. (Blame the spell checker for any spelling errors.) Bruce...good to see ya!! Wondered where you went!

Have several watches, but since I retired, I find myself just not wearing one anymore. Usually just look at my cell phone.

Today I've been wearing my Day/Date Rolex w/ grey dial on a brown alligator strap. Got it in '74 and paid $400.00 for it then. Took it in 3 mo's ago for it's 3rd service since I got it and was told to insure it for at least$20k now !

That means a trip of some hundreds of miles. So, I use mechanical watches.

Wearing one of my Orient Stars today. I've put it on a brown alligator strap as the gold bracelet was just too much bling !
