Has any one seen or used a Pipe Knife from Richard Sheffield of England? The body is stainless steel, has a nice pick that can reach down the stem. The blade has a rounded point so it won't dig into the pipes bowl. The down side to this is it will have to be cleaned and the knife blade needs to be touched up a little. Got it for under $5.00.
If so what are your thoughts?
I did find that it does a good job of getting the wax out of the ears, But it didnt do a damn thing for the ringing. Wonder how it will work in the snot locker?

Haven't used one, but my impression is they are top shelf. Heck of a price!

I would go easy on it in that regard, you wouldn't want it very sharp, cutting in...As Danno's pic shows, that blade is meant to be dullish to knock the cake down.
I know that you know this John, just throwing it out there if a person new to the hobby sees it now or in archives.
Nice score on a nice tool.

Yea Charlie you are right. The edge of the knife has been rounded and dull. My other one the blade has a slight edge so it is able smoothly remove the cake.

I let my Case Electrician's knife go dull and with the blunt tip, it makes a very good pipe knife and the regular blade in reserve.

Been using one of those for the past 30 years. Bought at a sale at a B&M for about $4.00 as I recall. Neat tool, fits nicely in a pocket.

I have one of those that I seriously abused every day for over 20 years. I am talking Forged in Fire abuse. Batoning through copper pipe, etc. It finally got loose enough that I didn't trust the blade lock and I retired it. I never thought of using it as a pipe knife. Thanks!

Haven't used one, but my impression is they are top shelf. Heck of a price! The nice wood ones were $72 at SmokingPipes.

If a person pays $8k for a pipe, that's nothing for a pipe tool.

Other than using my finger as a tamper, this has been my most used tool.

I just got one for Christmas’s with the buck antler on the sides. Almost $90.00 with tax, but it’s brand new. Buck Antler is nice and thick but still fits into all my pipes. I luv it. Rodgers Sheffield London.🧙🏼♂️
