I am glad I just broke in my Emerald. Cob. This is a great little pipe that fits nicely in my hand, & I can see into the bowl when I light it, so I don’t burn the bowl rim. Stays lit & smokes smooth. Having another bowl of burley right now. Anyone else have one? 😀🧙🏼♂️

Is it not essentially a green-stemmed version of the country gentleman, albeit a little fancier?

Cobs take forever to break in. You gotta get all that tar built up at the bottom of the bowl where that wood shank goes in. Theyre so harsh for like 2-3 weeks and then its bliss. At least, thats my experience.

Weren't they in limited supply? Glad you like it so well. They were so popular that they went into regular production.

At least, thats my experience. I got 4 cobs & 3 are past the bliss stage to the workhorse stage. I break em in much the same way as you do, but a little different. Once their broke in, their all really good smokers.🧙🏼♂️

I really like these Emerald MM Cobs. I don't own one, but come pretty close. I have a bent MM Country Gentleman with a forest green forever stem. In my experience, cobs don't need a break-in period. They are a great smoke from the very first time. Obviously, YMMV. 👍

I have one, that Lady Margaret passed on to me, back when they were a limited edition and had sold out. One of my favorite cobs.

Oh No! Out of pipe cleaners. Can’t smoke my churchwardens😪 I have enough for a few smokes of my emerald, then I’m stuck in park gear. I ordered some more cleaners last Friday, so at least their on the way. My take a week cuz of the Holiday. Speaking of the emerald, it’s breaking In nicely. & being a good pipe.🙂
