He deleted himself. It's on him. If he had said anything to me I would have talked him out of it. Some of us get sensitive in our old age, but I didn't see it coming. |

He deleted himself. It's on him. If he had said anything to me I would have talked him out of it. Some of us get sensitive in our old age, but I didn't see it coming. As Ron to Ron, I understand but, wouldn't call it sensitive really, just too old to take guff off anybody and no time to deal with it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...you make your own peace and joy, when you let someone or something interfere with that, especially on the internet...it is then on you.
Mike is gonna be missed, at least by me...hope he comes back again.

I was booted from Smokingpipes by the head honcho over there for petty reasons on his part, joined Patrick’s forum at the political pipe, later renamed to be Mypipeclub?..,
I have seen a lot of people jettison themselves from them forums for a variety of reasons and they all come from disagreements, and I came over here after Justin started this forum with rules in place to avoid some of the stuff that took place over at them places.... even with them well thought rules in place, differences between individuals have taken place privately end up on the forum and get pretty heated.
The situation with Lonecoyote where several members left was unfortunate when it took place. As with the Lonecoyote incident, both sides left... him and his defenders, and his detractors.
I have adopted the policy that if I am not part of the problem, I cannot be part of the solution, and it does no good for me to interject myself and take sides... I do not want to be a forum vagabond, this is a great forum and I like both of the principals in the “ripped off thread”.
It is unfortunate that these exits take place, but I reckon that it is something that will always take place.

I wasn't being critical of him, but he had been letting the BS get to him for a while. I don't know most of the people on the forums well enough for it to get to me, but I did the same thing at PSF when they banned my buddy for no good reason. It really had more to do with my mental state at the time than anything else. It's probably best for him to be away from here. If he changes his mind he can always come back. It really started with the LoneCoyote BS. |

Are we even sure Mike is gone. I do enjoy him and I don't think he was out of line for starting his thread as he had exhausted other methods.

I have been doing this a long time. It seems to me, and this is just my opinion, that the posters who skyrocket their post counts in a short amount of time tend to be the posters who get into a scuffle. Maybe it is just a numbers thing, maybe they start to feel like it is their site, maybe I am smoking to much weed.
I hate to see anyone leave. Everyone has a voice and can contribute to the patch.

It really started with the Lone Coyote BS I knew you weren't, I've been kicked off a few forums myself, mainly for engaging the head honchos, and yes one was PSF way back. And I agree, it wouldn't be good for him standing in the same room with one he's not agreeable with. This Thanksgiving I spent a few hours with a friend but, a person I would rather punch in the face then sit next to was spending way too much time near me. Had to bite my tongue and bare it so as not to cause a scene. All I can say is I Won't be ever doing that again. If I can't knock the ever living S%?T out of him, it's not worth being in the same room. It was like he was taunting me cause he knew I wouldn't do anything there. Sorry but, you know what I mean, right?

Actually, with the current political hysteria, the family get togethers are more peaceful because no one wants to start anything. |

Guys, I have edited the post and quotes regarding Ted. Fine to reference a situation, but let’s avoid any personal attacks or name calling.
As far as Mike goes, he deleted his own account. I’m sorry to see him go, but it was his choice. The door is open if he decides to come back.

Everybody does it... everyone here has done it... and of late who's to say with absolute certainty it didn't/doesn't happen without justification? I respect honesty and openness as much as restraint and discretion, and each of our right to choose and express with one or the other no matter the personal impetus. On recent matters of controversy my opinion is that the indictments stand and the jury is still out.
If this place or any other is only supposed to be LaLa Land where everyone wears rose-colored glasses and a pasted smile, I'm out!
