Wife asked me what I wanted for Christmas. So I said an old boy style lighter & a Rodgers Sheffield pipe knife with the buck antler sides. To my surprise she said OK. So I went on line and got to shop for myself and something nice for her, a new pipe 😆lol just kidding, I got her jewelry. The lighter I got is a Peterson Irish Harp and looks like an old boy copy. But I will be happy either way. Looks like it’s wrapped with leather and has a harp design on it. It has that vintage look about it. Now I’m off to buy my wife some more 🎁 🎁 presents. Will update this when my stuff gets here. Anyone else getting pipe stuff for Christmas?😀🧙🏼♂️

I was telling my son about a pipe bag that I was looking at and showed him a pic of it. He came back later asking if it was from Pipe Holsters and that he was going to get it for me for Christmas. I told him I appreciated the thought but didn't want him spending 5 to 600 on me for Christmas and recommended a Zippo lighter.

for many yrs, sorta "unique" with us. No wrapping, no surprises. We each buy what we want & the other re-imburses usually with cash. At our age, only her great-grands gets something to un-wrap. Her grands all adults, only want cash or gift card(s). My two "blood" gals now 9 & 12. Same with them now. We're comfy with "holiday-lite"
Last "gift" from wifie...couple flannel shirts from Haband (part of Blair company). From me, cash in card. Keeping things simple as possible at our age

December was always expensive for me, wedding anniversary, Christmas, wife’s birthdays, as I am older I have all want, I give cash, I tell kids, grandkids, I want a card with a hand written note. They comply, I usually go to town for this reason only, if I have some extra money left I put it in the Salvation Army kettle, they were good to me when I was in the service.

While we were unpacking from her recent trip out to the market and the clothing store I found probably a dozen pairs of women's socks. The over the knee, wintry kind, you know. Oh females Socks are the best thing I've ever got for Christmas. I keep losing them, and never have enough. I like to keep things simple. f

No need to wash them cuz they don’t stink like normal socks, as long as you shower regularly. In fact, I only wear leather. Socks, pants, shirts, even my underwear is leather. It’s a wizard thing I guess. Lol 🧙🏼♂️

I got my knew lighter today in the mail. I love the way it lights, first time every time. First time I filled it, I got butane everywhere. But then I got the hang of it to fill without it spraying out. I luv it. It works great & looks great. Now I’m waiting for my Rodgers pipe knife. 😀🧙🏼♂️

I forgot to mention that I also got an old German Clay Tavern pipe which already came UPS. But my wife took it wrapped it up and put it away for Christmas. Also I don’t get my pipe knife till Christmas she said.😢 But I can use my lighter now.😀Good enough for me! 🧙🏼♂️

That is a great present from a great woman Wizard, treasure both! I make gift giving for me easy, I made a huge wishlist on smokingpipes and I tell anyone who asks what I would like to call them, give them my name, tell them how much they want to spend and have the rep pick stuff off the list to match that. Its worked really well several times now. It makes their life easy, I get tobacco I know I wanted and what it will be exactly is still a surprise.
