My wife and I are having a great time squirming while watching this show, which is like the old "Jackass" show but with some science thrown in. Well i know there is a scale for the hotness rating of different peppers, but having a scale for which insect or animal hurts the worst if you get stung or bitten is not all that useful to me as I tend to avoid any and all nasty bugs and animals. It's nice to be able identify these creatures, but most people have some idea already what to avoid. If you aren't real squeamish it's kind of fun to see these guys let themselves be bit or stung by various venomous critters, and then describe the amount of pain, length of pain, and damage done. Hell, I didn't know some of these even existed, but there are some scary ones out there in the world.

Can't imagine someone being stupid enough to allow themselves to be a pincushion for some animal or critter.

Just when you thought reality TV couldn't get any worse. What's wrong with people?

Some people will do just about anything for money or fame.

I might check it out. While it's mindless TV, I do find that kind of stuff hilarious.

I'm sorry, I refuse to watch that crap. People and their Ego's getting larger and larger, just what the world needs today. I have about 50 or more channels to watch and its getting harder and harder to find anything decent to watch anymore. I hope its the signs of the end nearing because I'm getting tired of waiting, specially when there aint nothing on TV.

Exactly why wife and I got rid of cable, satellite, etc TV. She has Hulu, Netflix, etc as a selection for movies, I have the internet for news and pipe forum...my entertainment comes from enjoying a good smoking pipe and watching the birds, squirrels and other wildlife and of course, our small female Chihuahua...AKA "baby".

Well gee whiz! I didn't mean to upset you guys by watching meaningless TV shows. We find it relaxing to watch stupid stuff. There's enough stress and tension out there in the world that it's nice just forget about it for a while. We don't subscribe to premium channels, nor can we stream TV programing as we use a satellite service to receive programing which doesn't lend itself to streaming. I could list the more meaningful programs we watch, but would that make any difference? Like the old adage goes, "Watch what you like, like what you watch."
Now load up your pipes and grab a glass of your favorite drink and just relax...

I'd say try and ignore the grumbles and moans but it seams anymore no matter where you go, from Facebook to the Patch, self-righteous opinions are abound.

Orley...I was in no way demeaning you or what you watch...certainly that was not my intent, didn't mean to get you upset, was just commenting on it. Scott...nothing self-righteous about it!

I'll add another notch to the camp of 'do what YOU wanna do'.

Most TV programming is designed for people with 6th grade educations,so mindless,brain-numbing programming that uses cheap sensationalism captivates their attention. Advertising further uses these principles as evidenced by stupid commercials. It will only get worse as the younger generations receive the "no child left behind" educations and waste their lives away hiding behind their cell phones. Time for us to all spend more time smoking pipes.
