Those who tell us the weather say that 5G wireless signals are going to screw up their weather satellites signals and make it much harder for them to predict the weather.

I am not educated on what is transpiring on what you say Larry, but the ham wireless operators have been complaining about a loss of frequencies for quite awhile because of technology advancements in wireless communication. Kind of like the old westerns where the cattle baron runs off the small operations on grazing and water rights I suppose.

5g... more speed because streaming a movie isnt instant already.
Everything in this life is now in a hurry.
Here I am, smoking a pipe, trying to put a halt to time.
Now! Now! Now! Cries the world, until their time comes... now they want to wait.
Bah... I'm just grumpy and feeling a few decades older than 36 today

I've been telling people for years there all in a hurry to get to hell in a hand-basket!
The biggest problem is that Big Business is pushing everyone faster and faster (mo money mo money) and they let'em.

Funny, when I moved house recently, we dropped from 80mbps to about 30mbps....nothing's changed. Movies still play as they did before.
So I'm not sure how an extra few hundred mbps will make a difference.
However, on topic, I didn't realise that there would be interference between the weather satellites and 5g.
Ive,also heard that 5g doesn't work well through walls.

People don't need 5g. Autonomous vehicles need it. So they can send a battle drone to your house to confiscate your guns.

It is a warning to be careful as one day can stretch into two, then three etc. etc....

I think all cell phones have caused nothing but trouble in our society.
5G in particular is one nasty thing and opens a whole can of worms that will break all kinds of rules if I go into detail on why and how.

Before Cell Phones, if you wanted irrigation water for your field you had to either visit the home of the Ditch Rider or flag him down whilst on his rounds. This means folks had to go out and hunt for him. Now, it is just a series of cell phone commands. Worse are the text messages and the complaints. "Where is my water?", "Why is there not more pressure?", "Why is X getting more than ME? ?".
Yeah, Boss, We movin' now! Yah sir! I just shuffle along.

If I'm remembering correctly, the problem isn't so much the 5g technology itself as it is that a portion of the spectrum the FCC has allocated for these signals is close to - and even somewhat overlaps - the portion of the spectrum used by the weather sats. No one seems to be able to get an answer as to why the FCC did that.
If uncorrected, it really could cause problems. Imagine the NHC trying to pin down the exact track of an explosively developing hurricane in the gulf, in order to issue evacuation warnings, only to have them lose contact with GOES East right when they need it most... because Boudreaux is streaming Duck Dynasty 😁.
The problem is pretty fixable. The FCC just has to trim the frequency allocation for 5g away from the satellite bands. Telecom companies are actually fighting this...
