Pork rinds with coffee don't knock it till you try it. If you dissolve them in the coffee it makes a dark, thick broth.

soon to be Zweigles red dawg, 12mins @300f on GeoForeman grill. Side of Musselman's smooth applesauce. Store brand tea & cookies for later with Jeopardy, wouldn't mind if a female hostess winds up replacing Trebek.

0300, I was up to check on the animals and re-load the wood stove. Checked on the pot of Navy Beans with a big ham shank. They were done. So, I added ground pepper, Tabasco Sauce and Rufus Teague's, just a few dollops. Great stuff that RT!
I had to eat a small bowl before returning to bed.

Iām not a big fan of early-morning bāfasts unless necessity demands one. Usually I have a piece of buttered toast in the morning and then a real breakfast around 9 or 10. My favorite is steak and eggs. Perhaps (like this morning) a nice pice of top-round steak, two fried eggs, a couple of tortillas, and a glass of tea. The steak must be rare. The eggs are done in ācooking tubes.ā Most cans donāt let you cut out both ends, but cans of bamboo shoots and water chestnuts still do, and are perfect for the job. Containing the henfruit that way makes better use of skillet real estate. Tortillas are Mission-brand, corn, two of them halved, lightly toasted and buttered. Works for me...

And a good knife! It says "Revere" on the side of the blade. All I know is that it cuts a steak really good š.

There are "egg corals" made from stainless steel and with a handle. Works perfect. I have about ten. I got them when I was cooking for a crew and had to make a lot of eggs at one time.
