Especially when you compare Barbecue between the respective states. IMHO, each state has a style of Barbecue deserving of respect and appreciation. I enjoy Carolina style as much as Texas or Kansas City.

stretching groceries here also...two cups of chopped pork{leftover fresh butt roast},five taters, three carrots, some onion and celery all tossed in a crock pot with the drippings and the gravy from the roast...cooked all day and thickened at the last second, and BANG!...another meal from what we jokingly call "the stone soup cookbook" might sound cheap, but add some fresh bread and butter and it made a good meal on a cool night; and there's still a butt-load{pun} of Carolina style bar-B-que in the fridge!

Spaghetti with butter and Parmesan. Still not feeling good. I am sorry for that. A nice homemade chicken soup with leafy veggies and rice might help.
