Regular Gas is over $2.08. Diesel at $2.45
I went to Taos today. Smith's Super (Kroeger). Absolutely no ground sirloin, no ground round, no ground beef except for premium grass fed organic (85/15) at $6.99 per pound and that ground dog in the plastic chub, 73/27. No steaks, no ribs, no brisket. A few rump roasts. No Chuck Roasts. A little chicken and a little pork. No ribs, some chops and tenderloins. That surprised me. I was told all was well by someone on TV in Washington.
I was hoping to grill burgers this weekend. So, I bought a few pound of the organic, grass fed, premium stuff. It better be good. I sure paid enough for it.
BTW, I went to my favorite pizzeria and ordered a 12 inch take out. I was their only customer so far that day.

I serviced 13 Kroger stores and their pharmacies in the greater Tucson area, and Sierra vista this week. All were well stocked.

Gas prices are rising. I had to pay 10 cents more per gallon than the last fill up. 49 vs 39¢! 49 cents per gallon? Yup, with my $1/gal discount. 😁🤠

Wonder what's going on with Ebay. They're pissing me off. Won't let me pay for my latest purchase. Tried to pay on Ebay with the credit card they have on file. Won't go through. Tried to pay with same card through PayPal. No luck. Checked the card account online. No problems with it. Tried new credit card on Ebay. It won't go through either. Haven't tried PayPal using checking account option because I don't want it paid there. This has happened before once. It just started working again the next day. Maybe I broke Ebay.

I was on to call centres for over an hour and 45 mins yesterday. Most of that was just waiting for someone to answer.

no fleabay or PayPal for long time, they kept screwing with password changes & some of the above. Quite awhile back, had two very good deals with Steve "Pipestud" Fallon via phone. Xplained my bitching thru his auction feature. No problem, both deals quick, both pipes available & price was right. Others than the above complained about same with both. Seems more folks had similar issues with both

Clear and 60's. My neighbor is trying to figure out how to start his weed eater. In all fairness, some of those have a start-up that rivals the complexity of a voodoo ritual.

We have gone through a dozen gas weedeaters in the past 40 years. If you don't use them every week they eventually just quit.

Morning started earlier than I wanted, but it was a good start. Took our young husky and our older mix for about a mile walk before it's too hot. Came home had a bowl of cereal.
Now I'm headed out to enjoy some pipe in the shade before it gets up for the day.
It's 9:42am btw. I've been up a little over an hour.

After many years of stacking small hay bales, I have great appreciation for any machine assistance. The worst was stacking a trailer in the barn when it was -5 degrees(F). I could not help breaking a sweat and simultaneously freezing.

My great uncle had a huge hay barn spontaneously combust one summer a couple of hours after stuffing the loft full of geen alfalfa. It literally exploded, like methane gas from a septic tank.

My worst one was pulling the bailing hook clean out of the bail and into my shin … that stung just a bit. LOL

Before I went in the Navy I would hire out to stack hay, ran along a flatbed and threw bales to man on truckbed, one guy tried to tire me out, I outdid the man on the truck. HaHa , nowadays down here the round bales have taken over.

You have to pay extra for the old bales these days. I remember at 18 throwing 2 bales with each hand up to the truck. We were having a race. A bunch of of scouts camped at a local ranch and they asked us to help. It was the quickest they ever cleared that field. It was supposed to take all day and we finished up by 10:30 am. It would kill me now in 2 minutes.

Green alfalfa bales are dangerous. Here, folks mostly let their hay lay on the ground for a day or so to dry a little. Damp bales are left also to dry with the hope that the elk will not come down to feed on them. They love baled alfalfa. I used to stack mine in the barn with wooden pallets between each layer so they could circulate air. A big fan would be set. Barn doors left open at both ends. I prayed a lot in those days.

Took my wife grocery shopping this morning..Once again she told me to stay in the car..I haven't been in a store in almost 4 months..Half the folks around here don't even wear masks, and the numbers are still going up..I want this thing to go away so I can get my life back to normal..I've had a gift certificate for Starbucks since Christmas.I can't wait to use it.I like those Espressos with Whipped Cream and Chocolate Syrup. Especially since the next one will be free..Something to look forward to.I guess.

I remember the grain elevators exploding back in the seventies in Kansas, there was a lot of Alfalfa baling done back then, I never heard of that happening, probably because it didn’t happen in my orbit.I bucked 90# bales in the Kansas summers, and it wearing my skinny 130# butt out. Fell asleep early and woke up sore as hell, just to do it over. Went on to do rip-rap as a young adult and soon longed for by bale bucking days. They swing the Gar-bro Bucket from the mixer truck to you. You hold a burlap bag as they drop 130# of mud into it from the hopper that felt like it was a wet boulder dropping when you held the ears of the bag. Then you fold it over and lace on the creek side for erosion control. You wear gloves, but your hands are soaked with the calcium and it eats away at your skin, by the end of the week of that I was stronger than I ever was, but it beat the heck out of me. Then in the meat industry, loading swinging beef... that was when I decided I was going to drive the trucks, at least you had “breaks” involving driving. I did a lot of young mans work, when I was young, and then onto not so young. Amazingly, my body has fared well over the years. I am glad that I caught so much of that just before so much went mechanized, I would have not wanted any of that to be my full career.

When I think of all that I loaded, hauled and re-stacked in other peoples barns for a few crumbs.....

Mine has a precise startup ritual. I didn't follow it once, and it flooded. No way it was going to start then. Had to just walk away and do something else. Came back a couple hours later, followed the instructions and it started right up.

Cabin fever is starting to set in here, but i'm loving all the video editing and filming that i'm doing (for the children anyway - sermons are more routine, but the kids stuff is at least allowing me to be more creative). That said, I'll be running out of ideas very soon. They're talking about churches perhaps not being back until January...but nobody really knows.
I never had Facebook until lockdown, and while there's a huge amount of crap on it, it's been great to get messages across and share my stuff.
