Got me intrigued. I've never heard of the brand before. Ordered a small amount t of three blends to try them out. Mountains of Madness, King's Ransom and Sakura. I had just heard the name only minutes before ordering. I had to know what floral cherry was like. Floral orange in Exotic Orange is great and the idea of cherry blossoms was too interesting to pass up.👍 |

It's good stuff, but I don't think that it's worth the price for me. $7/oz is a lot for bulk tobacco. It is actually almost twice the price of Wilke, and 4x McClelland's when it was available. |

Did some digging on that pipe. Bruce called it a tri-cano and it's made of strawberry wood. There's an island volcano called Sakurajima (cherry blossom island) that has three peaks. The new Weaver is going to be my Sakura pipe!

 This showed up the other day. I ordered a random bones classic shape with a $25 coupon to lighten the load. Here is what came in the mail. Pretty cool. A nice Lovat that I plan to stain; my first try at staining a bones. I think brown and tan. |

Also, Byron, and Ernie from Watch City, did plays on each other's blends a couple months ago. Ernie took Burley Morning Pipe and mucked around with it to make Ernie Morning Pipe. Byron took Deluxe Crumb Cut, and made Crumb Fu (added candela and deer tongue to the deluxe crumb cut).

So, Ken ( kbareit) had been bugging/jabbing me for over a year to make a diamond shank. I put it off, and put it off, because the very idea scared me to death for some reason. Finally I just went for it, and I probably wouldn't have done it but for him. So I sent him my first bulldog, which was not completely PERFECT, but it came out pretty darn good. Anyway, he wanted to reciprocate by sending me a pipe rack for my shop (since I stick my pipes by the stem between two 2x4s. He got the pipe last week. Today a goodly sized box came, and not only was the rack in it, but so was a beautiful tobacco plate, and a sensational ashtray. I was blown away. Good guy, that Ken. I got an email saying my bundle of 25 Cohiba Black Robustos are shipped and should be here Thuresday. Ive got a jar humidor already set up and waitin'. They'll just rest for awhile.
Im finding that the robusto size is working out best for my own timeline for smoking. They run about an hour for me, depending on the stick. The bigger ones are just too much most times.
