I finally replaced my broken Churchwarden with a new Neerup one. The bad thing is, I found 2 that I liked. I got 1 in the mail today and theres a good possibility the other one will be ordered tonight

Ordered some tobaccos from KBV: Verge Engine, Dark Fired Cherry, King's Ransom. Dark Fired Cherry is my experiment with an aromatic. Don't know that I'll like its, but keeping an open mind.

Sometime ago I bought a group of pipes on Ebay. Got a couple good ones, but 2 were in rough shape. 1 was smokeable, but the Shalom was not since it was broken. I asked Cramps if he could help. He said “I’m an artisan, not a miracle worker!” Joking... He said reach out to Joeman. He does this kind of thing very well. So I contacted Joe and he said send them my way. Well they came home today, and all I can say is WOW!     |

Gotten the Dark Fired Cherry yet? What do you think of it? Yes, and I've smoked it. It's actually better than most aros I've tasted. There is definitely a scent of cherry there, but there is a better base than the heavy aromatics you normally see. I can also taste dark fired in there as well as nutty burley, and the topping is light. I see myself smoking more of it as Fall comes. It's a decent smoke. I also ordered Verge Engine and it tastes citrusy and a bit of floral. It's a light smoke which is nice. Reminds me of Esoterica Cardiff without the wetness and extreme shag cut. |
