New air conditioner for the living room. It's supposed to be so quiet that you can't tell it's running. It's U-shaped, the window closes down on 2 inches in the middle. Compression on the outside piece and evaporator and fan on the inside. We'll see.

A box of the E.A. Carey "magic inch" ,straw-like air filters...I have a few Careys and a Tinsky that's been converted to the Carey system...I'm almost sure I could make em ,from a paper straw, but I was so happy to see that Amazon had em ,I just went on and pulled the trigger.

Got a wine kit in the mail today. It's a "Limited Edition" kit that I had to order last November. It was supposed to be delivered in late April or early May, but was delayed. It's called the "Winexpert LE 2019 Cape Blend (Worcester, South Africa) Wine Kit". They do a limited release of several kits every year. It contains Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinotage and Grenache grape juices from the Worcester region in South Africa. Described as: "Spicy with strong tannins and dark berry flavours. Smoky, earthy characteristics and aromas of leather and licorice". It will make 6 gallons/30 bottles. Can't wait to get it started

I placed an order with Esterval's in Germany at the end of May and five weeks later it showed up with no problem (other than USPS tracking being wrong. Tracking said it was still in New York on Thursday night.) Anyway, all you aromatic-haters out there should avert your eyes, I now have:
HU Haddes Best Irish (100g) HU Tillerman (50g) HU Chinas Heaven (100g) Rattray's Blossom Temptation (100g) Rattray's Caribbean Dream (100g) Kohlhase & Kopp Winter Time 2019 (100g) Poul Winslow No. 1(10og) W.O. Larsen Indigo (100g) Danish Dice (50g pouch)

I got my new Raspberry Pi today. What are you going to do with it? I had one, but I had a bunch of other computers and I never found a use for it. I gave it to a friend. I have a couple of Netbooks, one Windows and one Mint that can do anything I need a small PC for.

Mostly, I am playing around with it but I plan on using it for some astronomy projects and I may start trying to use it to learn Python. We will see. I had an older one that I turned into an NES emulator but The Boy claimed it and Lord only knows where it is at. So I splurged for the latest one. This one has a fan!

I sure wish I could figure out how to upload pictures because my L.E.A.P.S. pipe arrived today and it looked better in hand than the pictures look. It is a sturdy pipe with some weight to it and the stem is such that I will not be afraid to clench and worry about biting through it. Very nice cob!
