MacBaren Club Blend from Sante’s stash round 1. The date he wrote on the tin is 6/98. I know nothing about this tobacco, except what I have read on Tobacco Reviews. I’m in no hurry to open it. Maybe I will wait until Sante’s anniversary and smoke it in his honor. Dang, now I need to get a bamboo shanked pipe, to do that right.

It's not tobacco, but...
I ordered a 3-spring tuning kit yesterday from 460 Rowland LLC for my Springfield Operator TRP. I have the .460 Rowland kit with a 21 lb spring and compensator. It shoots the Rowland round great, but is a bit unreliable feeding with .45acp.
I put the stock spring back in, about 18lb, and its better with the .45acp, but still wont lock back on empty mag, and drops the brass at my feet.
Im supposed to be able to shoot the 255grn .460R at 1500fps, the .45 super or .45acp from the same pistol out of the same mags.
It just needs tuning to find that sweet spot where it cycles everything efficiently.
Hopefully, this spring kit will do it.

Between the weight of the compensator and the spring it will never be dependable for both. Too much difference in the 2 cartridges. Probably could shoot 45 Super and acp, but the gun needs to be tuned for the specific cartridge. Just my opinion. You might be successful though and I am interested in hearing your results.

I'm just getting into the world of smoking pipes, so I needed to jump start my options on what to smoke. I currently have a couple house blends from my local shop, but I just made an order for 16 different tins to try and explore. They are as follows:
Peterson Early Morning Peterson My Mixture 965 Peterson Nightcap Peterson Elizabethan Mixture Cornell & diehl Bayou Morning FLake Orlik Golden SLiced Peterson De Luxe Navy Roll MacBaren Navy Flake Seattle Pipe Club Plum Pudding Cornell & Diehl Opening Night McConnell's Latakia Flake Presbyterian Mixture Peterson Flake Cornell & Diehl Star of the Est Flake Sutliff Crumble Kake Va Perique MacBaren HH Rustica
I probably (almost certainly) went overboard, but I hope it'll give me an idea of what I like so I can start buying that blend in larger quantities for the future. Later Y'all!

Later Y'all! Jhatt87 While that is a great start, none of us would class it as "overboard". In fact, most of us would agree that hardly any order is "overboard"; does such a thing exist? My only caution is that if you get all or most of those tins open at the same time, which is perfectly fine, you might consider storing the tobacco in jars or mylar bags, that is unless you're smoking 20 bowls a day. I've had to re-hydrate tinned tobacco more than a few times when it doesn't get smoked regularly.
FWIW: some folks like to keep their open tins/jars/bags to a "reasonable" number, say 10 or so. I'm not of that school. I think I'm somewhere around 80 open jars at the moment. I gave up trying to keep it down as I like the variety and who really cares? Good smoking!

50 rounds of hot, hunting .460 Rowland ammo. 240grn Hornady XTP's doing 1300fps out of a re-bbled, comped 1911. Makes my neck thick just thinking about it. 😁😅😎

I'd like to have some tobacco in the mail - however my indecisiveness has gotten a hold of me and I keep adding to and taking from my cart and never checking out. I've got some z Orlik golden sliced , which I've had before and enjoyed. HH Burley Flake , never had but curious , and GL Pease Sixpence are remaining.
