I've been to Jon's in Clayton last year John Dengler in St Charles and The Tinder Box in Florisant years ago. Non are what I would call destination shops but if your in the area they are worth your time. Jon's is moving so I don't know what you'll find. Dengler is in the Old Town area of St Charles with lots of restaurants and fancy dry good shops the ladies love. Both Jon's and Dengler's are old school shops with fancy wood cabinets and creaky wood floors. There's a JR Cigars about a block Jon's in Clayton.

Depending on how far they are away from the hotel I may make a visit. The wife and kids and I are going the 19th to the City Museum - find somewhere cool to eat - stay the night - zoo the next day then back home. Missouri Meerschaum would be cool place to go but have to look into whether thats on the way or out of the way.

Check out the Budweiser tour. It's a great time at a great price (free). I love seeing the stables and the beer garden at the end has has some space age tap that pours the best, coldest, freshest tasting beer I've ever enjoyed. I get a hot salami sandwich at Gioia's Deli on The Hill every year. I love that place.
