Well I’ve been waiting for it, in Louisiana you can’t avod them. Wife found a spot on Wall in pantry that was soft, called pest man, yep it’s termites, 1250$ to treat, every time a man gets a little money ahead it’s gone! Cigars and tobbaco have to wait!

At least they didn't eat your pipes! Good point... But still, that's a hefty price tag to eliminate them.

First couple of homes we had I did it myself. Clordane everywhere. I managed to saturate myself in the process. No living bugs in sight, though. Not sure what I would do now. I would probably try to bargain with them.

I had bedbugs and had to hire an exterminator after I tried to handle them myself. They lightened my bank account by $2500.00. but they got the little suckers.

Termites and bed bugs are both a nightmare. I've dealt with both. I run into a lot of termite damage at work... the problem with them is, they're usually not found until the damage is extreme.
Bed bugs... well that's the most aggravating bug I've ever dealt with

Last year there was an outbreak of them at the school my daughter works at and I do repair jobs there as well. I had a change of clothes and a dryer set up in the garage and the clothes that were worn went straight in the dryer for an hour on high heat. Didn't get any them so it must have worked.

Hopefully you caught it in time and it's just $1250. Both of my homes are in very active termite zones. I had the davecave in lax treated before they poured the floor and we keep up with the inspections and warranty. We've had a few termite homes condemned in the old area of our neighborhood. Speaking of warranty our pest control guy spotted a mud tunnel in our garage here in GV AZ and they had to drill and treat our slab in November. They were here for at least 5 hours working on the I can't imagine what that would have cost me.

Termites are part of the International Communist Conspiracy to undermine our nation.

1250 sounds about right, sad to say.
