Man the weather in N.W. Arkansas is crazy. Yesterday was 60 something I believe and today is 20 and ice is falling from the sky.

Upstate SC is feeling like spring, and will be for the next several days. I'll take it.

I'm of the impression that it's only going to get more bizarre over the coming years. One of the harbingers of Spring for me is when the Juniper pollen starts to make me sneeze. In the past, this was around March ... then it became February ... this year it's already here now. I don't need a bunch of "funded" atmosphere scientists to tell me what I can experience in my own reality.

Bad here last night, winds howling, little rain. Picked up around house all day so we wouldn’t have missles.

I think we can plan on unnatural weather, with a handful of fools seeking to burn off as entire land mass down under,

Just read that since temperatures have been recorded here in N. Carolina 2019 was the hottest year in history.

Just posted in the DC about this, before seeing this thread. It was quite dramatic weather here from last night to this morning. 60 and sunny to tornado warning to frezzing rain and snow to 50 and sunny. 🤷🏽♂️

And tonight it 39 degrees. Its the end of world as planet spins off its axis at shoots us directly into the sun. Proof that God was in Tejas when he said the next time the world would destroyed by fire of course he said that right after the world was destroyed by water. Only 6000 more years to the next ice age until then I give you cool map from 15000 years ago of the Great Basin Lakes.

the crazy "heat wave" continues in my area. 34, headed to 50 & clear. Not quite warm enuf to go outside wearing a thong to give old lady walkers a real cheap thrill, but a start! Normal highs avg mid 30s. No winter ain't over yet

Pffft. Try living in Southwest Virginia. We routinely have four seasons in two days. There is no such thing as normal weather here.

Made in the early 1960s when Hydrogen Bombs were more of a worry than climate change.

We have had a slightly colder winter so far this year. That could change. Last summer was warm but the previous (2018) was unbearable.
Yes, the weather changes as it does. The Climate picture and long term trends would be good to understand. I applaud the scientists working on that.

The Vostock ice core studies tell you all you need to know 110,000 year cycles and a ice age every 23000 years as the planet wobbles along. 75 in the swamp with the AC going. 7.5 degrees in the mountains cause they are mountains and have snow and stuff.

You're half right. Ice cores do reflect climate cycles. But, up until now, the climate cycles they reflect (minus a couple impact events we can also correlate) track nicely with the Milankovitch cycles, the cycles of orbital wobble that drive climate cycles. The only problem is, in this particular warming cycle, the Milankovitch cycles peg us squarely in the middle of a 10,000 year stable interglacial period. Nothing has happened to explain the most dramatic warming trend we see anywhere in the record. Well, except one thing.

Beautiful weather in Arizona..in the 70's, had a trip in and out in Tucson.
Tomorrow I am going to call on a customer in Nogales Az., parking the truck on the American side and the client is taking me into the Mexican side for lunch.

I am pretty sure Ron and meself can rescue you with a Daisey Red Ryder and a dull Boy Scout knife but we are going to want lunch and beer afterwards. And the weather had better be nice.

I been down there and visited Nogales on the Mexican side for lunch. I think you need a Passport or Passport ID card to return to the USA now. That was not the rule when I was there. Better check or you may not get back in.
