Didnt get a decent termite job, you have to trench and flood, I have piers on old Acadian house on 95 piers. When mover cut my house in half he said the biggest mistake people make is to scrimp on cost of piers, told him don’t skimp. The termite crew arrived and in 2 hrs they were gone. One man in a 2 man crew did all the work. Lead man stayed on phone, came in the house and asked to wash his hands, wife commented his clothes on his knees were clean, I said he hasn’t been under the house. Took pictures. This morning did a face to face with owner and told him why I put a stop payment on check. He admitted 2 hrs on 95 piers was impossible, his eyes bulged when I told him the kid sprayed in short pants, no respirator, no crawl suit, no gloves. I impressed upon him I wanted to pay, but I also wanted what I paid for. He also said personal phones were a problem.

Those nice people in Louisiana put their homes up on piers creating an open space under the house which is the perfect place for Rattlesnakes, Cottonmouths, Copperheads, alligators and assorted spiders to make their homes.

You don't have to worry about getting a guard dog.

They get washed out regularly. No one is looking under their house in Louisiana tonight. GEAUX TIGERS!

Good on you, Brad.
So many people subscribe to goods and services and trust that the "technician" is the pro and knows how to deliver the goods to an ignorant customer that is depending on honesty.
An informed customer sees the problems and documents it...it sounds like the owner is trying to do right but has misplaced trust in the foreman running the crew...it sounds like he is the weak link and needs to be monitored closely, he should be shoulder to shoulder with the guy doing the work...if he doesn't change his ways, he should get bounced. You did a great favor to the owner...if the owner does not come back and remedy the situation, he was giving lip service to what he knows is going on.
Just my opinion...I imagine that in Louisiana or any other rural community, word of mouth recommendations are gold, the reverse are a death sentence on your operation.

I just got done talking about people like this that do what they can get away with and still expect to get a full paycheck. I hope the same crew comes back to complete the job they started (and WORK this time) maybe they'll respect you a lot more and understand half arse aint going to get them anything.
