I've had this for sometime now (several years) but, it was missing the arm and a belt. Just recently I found an arm for it cheap on eBay and a new belt on the web cheap also. Was surprised to find both so cheap, specially seeing the belts are still available because from what I gather this machine (Dentists Drill) is from the 1950's or there a bouts. No Pat. number to research or really any info on the web about its manufacture date, only that the maker is no longer in business. The thing really cranks at 12,000 RPM's and is really quiet considering its age, my Dremel makes more noise. Don't know how much I'll use it but, I love the old mechanical items from the past and will use it from time to time cause I do have bits for it and some Dremel bits fit as well, I even have a slimmer model drill for it (fatter one shown). Someone took good care of it as I've seen others in really sad condition.

Cool that's what Micoli uses to make his very interesting and tactile pipes. Without letting the cat out of the bag, a lot of pipe makers use a moto tool for doing a few things in making pipes but, yes mostly rustication. Micoli started out purchasing flawed pipes from manufactures and adding his own style shall we say to'em. I had quite a few of them and some later pipes he did
before I sold most my collection off. Have one left though. His early ones using the purchased flawed ones he signed E.Oslo but, even they had some real nice rustication work to'em.

Hah, it immediately reminded me of the vintage tools my (not great) dentist used when I was a kid. Then I read the description.
That's actually a really neat find. It would be even neater if you found you enjoyed using it for certain applications, but either way it's cool!

We are afraid to say too much about your pipes because we can't afford such nice stuff. We are free to go off on the dental drill as long as we stay out of your reach.

I think you hit it right on the nose Ron but, afraid to say what you really mean............"There over priced Turds!" As far as the Dentists Drill goes, I aint selling it so you all feel free to comment and lets face it, I didn't make it either.

Just because I can't afford one right now I believe they are bargain priced for the beautiful design and excellent construction. I wish more people could see them. If you weren't down for a couple of years you would be selling them faster than you could make them.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, and if I were handsome and rich I'd have Sofia Vergara as my wife.
All kidding aside, in 2017 that's exactly the way it was, never had to wait more then a day to sell a pipe, now they tell me there's a slump in hand made pipe purchases, everyone would rather have an smelly dirty estate pipe. I mean, I can see purchasing estates, I did it for years and there fine but, to load and light up a brand new hand made is something I've always enjoyed. Okay, money's tight right now, Lord knows I know, just wish the economy or what ever it is would come back my way soon, I need money too.

You can now go all Micoli on your next creation!!😀 I have done some work like that early in my pipe making to no names I've came across as he did but, never ventured to sell any. I'd like to but, if I did they couldn't even look vaguely like his just to save face.
