Last night got a call from my cousins wife,my smoking cousin died, wasn’t surprised, he dropped in while riding his convertible, making his rounds seeing his kin folks, he liked mine better because he could smoke in the house, his cigar, my pipe puffing, viewing for an hr then cremation, I won’t go, gonna remember him my way. Just reminiscing.

Really sorry for your loss Brad..A sad part of getting old is losing folks that we love..I too prefer to remember them alive.

Brad, I share in the grief you feel. In the last two months, I have lost three neighbors here. One from old age-aneurysm. A sweet little old guy who looked like a garden gnome statue and who hurt no one. A young woman of 32 with a young son from respiratory failure. A 74 year old man, gunned down by this brother who is now a fugitive.
Life is brief and each moment special.

Condolences Brad. It's tough to loose family and friends, especially a smoking buddy.

It's so much better to hold on to the smiles and laughter shared in better days. I'm very sorry for your loss.Brad, but the pain of loss fades ,while good memories live on.
Prayers sent your way.

Condolences. Most everyone I was close to is gone, from sweet nephew who drank himself to death to a US Circuit Court Justice. I remember them the way they were. I remember my mom, shelling peas and bouncing with excitement watching Roger Marris hit a home run. It's a bittersweet life. I believe that we will see them again.

Sorry to hear about this Brad, it should give us pause to consider those that we hold dear and may be gone soon.
