Is she implying that they can't have a sale because of the FDA?
Or is it just that the can't give away freebies?
Also, "awaiting word"? In the next two weeks? From whom?

Chuck, Now this might sound "snarky" but what did you honestly expect as an answer? Miss Adriene is a customer service person that some people think should know everything but in reality they know what they are told and they know it when they are told it. From what I read in her response is that right now she doesn't know anything. I think the MOST important thing she said and you might have missed it is ... "Keep an eye on your email that week." You sound very frustrated and upset that she did not give you an answer that you wanted to hear but do you really think a person answering e-mails and the phone knows about anything related to a one day special event a couple weeks from now? I would bet that the people who are setting up any special/s are not even fully sure what they will be offering. Guaranteed they WILL NOT be giving away any free tobacco because that is now illegal but they sure the heck can give a % discount on tobacco or put some tobacco in a package deal of some sort. If possible you might want to try and curb your anxiety and try and do as she suggested ... "Keep an eye on your email that week." That is all for now ... bye ... so long ...  You are right Papasmurf, I had the temper of Gargamel when I posted, I was going on 20 hours and all day traffic trucking through LA. I knew that free tobacco is a thing of the past, and I look forward to the annual sale, but it didn't compute in my frazzled brain. We will have to see what is forthcoming...thanks for the smack in the back of the head sometimes it is needed. |

I just want to clarify, I have no problem with P&C, they have provided stellar service and their customer service people are second to none...Whatever nonsense we face from the implementation of the FDA reg....X1000 for them.

Had you not posted this, I wouldn't have gotten the code.
I have been a consistent buyer for at least 3 years, and P&C is my go-to source, I am subscribed to them but this is twice in the last two months that I didn't receive the emails...and they aren't routed to junk mail.

A few fellow forum pipers had gotten free credit from P&C awhile back in an email. Since I figured that the individual probably wasn't the type of person that bought a lot online and I did, my gut feeling was correct when I emailed P&C asking them about why I wasn't included with the offer.
That event was to stir the spending of infrequent buyers whereas, people like me don't need the prodding... I get the strategy on that particular outreach, but to not get the IPSD offer for the same reason, (if that is the case), doesn't seem right.
