What shows have you recently been to? What have got planned for the coming year? And super-memorable shows that topped your all time list? Let's hear about them!
I'll start. Since I've been away for a good while, I have hit a few shows in the last few years. We hit the road to Dallas for Ozzy back in September of 2018, and it was probably the best show I have ever been to. Even at 70, the man knows how to bring it.
January of 2019 we caught Metallica in Little Rock, the band was great but the show wasn't much fun for me as my wife had stayed home sick.
September of 2019 we went back to Dallas for the Knotfest Roadshow, Slipknot, Gojira, Volbeat, and Behemoth. Another great show, which gives way to our planned show for this coming fall:
Deftones and Gojira in Dallas this coming September. Can't wait to see Gojira again.
What about you guys?

I made the mistake of going to see Alice Cooper with my son. The two opening acts were terrible, and half of the audience was just there to see them. So Cooper played to a half filled arena. I was never a fan of Cooper, but he was much better than the opening acts. It was August in Houston in an open air arena. I don't remember the first band, but the second one was Halestorm. The concert before that was the Stones in Reliant Stadium, 2005.

Best "concert" I saw was Jmi Hendricks at Woodstock in "69. Yup, there will never again in the history of humanity, be another Woodstock! Mike Lang tried recently to have a revival, but Woodstock wasn't just the music, it was the times, the people, the feelings, the war...the quality of the groups was so unique...just not possible to replicate. It was simply amazing to be there...talk about a teeming mass of humanity!

She was the best thing about the concert, after my earplugs. Hard to sell the sex as they are all family.

Probably the coolest concert that I attended was in a nightclub in Palo Alto Ca. with front man John Kay of Steppenwolf, in about 1980...drank whiskey with him and sat onstage...the club owners thought that me and my buddy were with the band, the band thought we were with the club so no one told us to get off the stage.
within a few months later, the Greg kihn band was there, but the club staff knew who we were...we still hung ot with Greg Kihn...that was an awesome venue.
Big concerts would have to be Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, the loudest was The Who...during high school years in Wichita Kansas, Kansas was regularly there before they received acclaim and Black Oak Arkansas was always rocking the place.
Copied from my Facebook page where I posted on Jim Henzi's page...

I've had the good fortune of being able do go to dozens of concerts over the years...
The two that stick out in my mind are...
Stevie Ray Vaughan opening for BB King in the 80's (back when I was in the Navy)
And...
The Eagles Hell Freezes over concert in OKC back in the 90's
Both Red Letter Days for me
