Years ago I had a 10 foot Burmese Python, pretty gentle but, she had the run of the house being she was so big that she would break out of her tank when she wanted to. After about a year or two I finally gave her away to a breeder because she was just too big to keep around my daughter who was only about 8 or 9 at the time. It certainly could take her down without a struggle in a blink of an eye, not to mention me too. Even being as gentle as she was I sure wasn't going to trust she might decide not to be at some point. Inconceivable! On the contrary, very conceivable, it happened and I did.
And I don't make a habit of lying.

For what it's worth gents, I keep them in 24x48x12 PVC enclosures with doors that have 3 latches each. The only escape is the one where I make a serious mistake. If they aren't poisonous, why not give them the run of the house?

I don't think that is what he meant. Certainly not. Meant partly as a joke, as well as to register my astonishment.

I don't think that is what he meant. Well, I reckon it's all in how you read it, the definition of Inconceivable is : not capable of being imagined or grasped mentally; unbelievable.
I took it as he didn't believe me. I didn't think anything I stated was far fetched. If he didn't mean it that way I think maybe he should choose different wording. It's hard to know what anyone means from time to time because there's no voice conveying the words and we can't see the expression on ones face when said.

Sorry you took it the way you apparently did. I have been given to understand that “Inconceivable!” is a kind of joke word based on the film THE PRINCESS BRIDE. As for my wording, I think it applies quite well. At least in the sense of “not capable of being imagined.” But that’s just me. Maybe others would find having a python capable of being a danger to a young girl loose in the house perfectly imaginable. From your reaction I would imagine you have been more or less “attacked” in the past. That was certainly not my intention but of course you are welcome to take it any way you like.

On the internet it's best to assume the best possible interpretation, rather than the worst. If someone means the worst, they will make it clear in time. We're all friends here.

Sadly, verbal communication is insufficient in its own right, letters on a page lose far more, and to think, now we have Instagram, where an image is meant to tell the whole story...

🥸 Very true. However you do make incredible pipes, and you very well should be proud. You also need to accept both positive and negative criticisms. You know you make great pipes one day I hope to own one of your pipes.

I got the Princess Bride reference. I suppose, if anyone didn't get it, it does take on a completely different meaning. I'm glad we got it sorted. I read some text messages one way and my old boss would read them a completely different way - it's almost impossibly to tell tone in written word. As for the Burmese Python, rdpipes...I would LOVE one of those, but I wouldn't have the time nor the space for them. They are a real beauty.

Have you seen the video of the puppy getting snatched? It's rough.

Nah, keepin' it real! Lol Nice faucet ... Moen? Honestly I don't remember what it is anymore, I installed it a few years ago. It has this really cool spot spray function that channels massive pressure into one stream. It will blast almost anything clean.

Copper Heads in my neck of the woods. Living in northern Virginia, in a rural area, I had a Copperhead living under my house. The basement was dirt dug out with an access door. Inside was the well equipment and the water heater. Mr. Copperhead lived there, too. His job was rodent control and he was effective. He would move off to a dark corner when I entered. I still carried a shovel just in case. It was large snake and I suspect, old.
